You can rack the gun after firing a single round but you do have to hit the release to do it. It holds 16 rounds with 2 in the chamber but I keep it in cruiser condition. I’ve had one for about 4 years or so. It’s an amazing and fun shotgun. My home defense shotgun. I have an Aimpoint PRO and a Surefire scout both on Larue mounts on it. We shoot trap with it for practice.

Thanks for showcasing the DP 12. I have had mine for over 3 years. Love it. The more I shoot it, the easier the manual of arms become. With a quality sling, I hang it around my neck, which supports the weight and allows me a better method of reloading. The weight supports easier recoil and this weapon is balanced perfectly when shouldered. Great reliable shotgun and I love the fact I can double tap a 12 gauge and I have sixteen rounds of felon stopping power without reloading.

cory F I personally have never had an issue at all. I can rack shells with no issues even if I’m shaking it and trying to cause a problem while racking. That was a concern of mine in the design but it has worked flawlessly for myself personally. I have probably fired around 400-500 rounds out of it so far.

You can rack the action once you have fired the first right barrel by manually activating the slide to clear the live round on the left barrel & putting two more rounds in the chamber. This would be a good safety option in case you have a light primer strike on either barrel. It's a great design in my opinion. Just train with it & you'll be fine.

Speaking of bird shot costing as much as 9mm. I always wondered, how the eff can they make a shotgun she'll for $0.20-0.25 per round. That's amazing. You figure it has brass, primer, powder, lead/steel shot, a cup/wad, and the hull, and then they have to put all of it together, sell it to a retailer for a markup, then the retailer has to sell it to the consumer for a markup, plus it's heavy and costs a lot to ship. That seems like it would be impossible to make any money. That means they're making it for around $0.10/round!!!! Incredible.

Just my experience on loading...I have an excellent (wider and cushioned) 2-point sling that drapes over the back of my neck. With the support of the sling holding up the weapon, I am able to load from underneath. I can load one magazine at a time or I can load both at the same time.
@Surago5 жыл бұрын
The one thing I don’t like is the two trigger pulls per pump. There are so many shot guns that having to learn a whole new way to shoot one seems like it would be too difficult under high pressure situations. Kind of like my ksg, love that thing but having to try and remember to switch the magazine tube over just seems like a bad situation.

Cool shotgun . I have never tried one with two barrels but I have shot many other shotguns , but for my money I would stay with my Remington 870 slugmaster . I have it dressed with a 8 shot extension and a Eotech and it's fun to shoot . The Eotech gives me a dot and a circle that seems to put most of my #1 in the ring and my slugs very close out to 100 yds . But there are many shotguns I haven't had the pleasure to try yet and who knows there could be one I like better but so far the old 870 does the trick .

Happy Thanksgiving Day ! Thank you for this review. I was thinking that both barrels would fire simultaneously. That would eliminate the confusion of the two pulls on the trigger to allow it to cycle. But, of course, that would be a lot of recoil to handle. And it would be back to seven shots. It sure would send a bunch of lead downrange though !
