I did want to mention I am watching this in 2022 and I noticed that I needed to not use the absolute most current version of Google play store. When I tried the newest version it said it was unable to install. So I thought about it and went back one update and it installed properly and I have it. I have downloaded the files and everything worked fine until I tried to install the Playstore file. I get the message "There was a problem parsing the package" I downloaded several versions of the playstore file and get the same message. Old video but still works selecting the latest version of each file. I did run into a parsing error on the last file, Google Play Store. I selected any older version of this file and it continued with the installation. (Fire 7, 12th gen). Thanks to host.

When I saw they upgraded to a USB C connector I knew it was time. I think the old USB Micro connectors are a PIA. Her new one is great. It synced right out of the box and connected to WiFi immediately. The thing is perfect! Sooo mine will arrive tomorrow. (Been reading off an old Fire) What bugs me are the reviewers that give this product one star because it didn't work out of the box or they were too dumb to figure it out. If it doesn't work send it back and get another one. It couldn't be easier with Amazon. Giving it one star because it didn't work says nothing about a good one that does work. I bet a bad one is one in a thousand or more. Give it a break...just get another one.

Does it matter which version of the frameworks you download? Or does it have to be the most recent for your model? I noticed in the article it says not to use the current but just curious as when you open the page it shows a different version than mine. Also surprised it says it changes so much, or has so much access, like phone calls and texts that say it costs you money, my first time with android app, is it normal or safe?

Google Playstore is free like on any other Android device. Amazon just doesn't include it since they want us to use their crummy app store.
