That new prayer is intriguing. SS healing is strongly dependent on how much damage you can do. If you're not good at dps, it might be interesting. I'll be curious to see how it does.

4% crit chance seems absolutely nutty, but i reckon that not having access to T95 or 99 prayers leaves a massive gap in dps that wouldn't make it worth using unless you don't have access to Curses.

Assuming you've got the divine rage codex from sanctum this will actually seemingly be best in slot. The only thing missing is the accuracy from t95 or t99 prayers. If you've got 100% hit chance with the standard prayer book using divine rage, piety variant, and this new prayer it will be better damage than a t99 praesul curse

I have a feeling that it's gonna be too much healing and that they're gonna nerf it. With magic every 1 in 4 attacks is a crit, you'll be healing like you've permanently got Excalibur up

There is a need for them to cater to newer players and make the game more accessible. All MMOs do this but eventually it does drive the long term players away when content is nerfed so hard it is easy. Trouble is with this approach it devalues the hard work players have done to get the codices. I see why they are doing it. Do I agree with it, not at all. But for the longevity of the game, they need to retain players and in the current state, retention is low.

It's nice that they seem to be trying to fill in the gaps. It'll be interesting to see if anyone with the base stats can crit enough to keep the heal proc up, probably easy in aoespam afk but elsewhere idk I'm guessing with kalg, max necro and grim it'll be constant 10% heals but since it's over 6 seconds each heal might be pretty low. Definitely gonna be fun to check out

It's gonna underperform with necromancy, this new prayer is built specifically for magic users basically because of how massively important Split Soul is for dps for necromancy while the FSoA has no such reliance on curses - instead it relies purely on crit chance.

That latent offering is gonna be huge with dragon darts, they already dont sell for anything and the xp gained will probably save you more money than selling them would

@@ianhopkins7457 okay so lets look at this from a numbers perspective, from 99-120 fletching with off hand dragon darts costs 17.8b, then selling those darts on the ge at mid price only nets you 551m back (assuming they actually sell because they have no use) if you instead sac those darts for 10% extra xp you are not only training faster but you need 10% less darts saving you 1.78b meaning you saved a total of 1.2b using the necklace not to mention the time saved and time= money

If they do that, it would probably protect by 25% or so (instead of 50%), which could be decent to afk bosses that switch attack styles frequently.

@@JakeLikesJoking If you can get all 5 stacks, that's literally what Teamwork Protection is, which is why it's kind of a shame that they were put in the ancient book alongside soul split which completely overshadows every overhead out there.

I think it could be something interesting Hand of Doom + Accelerated Decay = 6 necro atk lvl + 6% damage boost Divine Rage = 5% damage boost Amulet of zealots = 10% damage boost Transforming accuracy into damage we have the result of 27% damage boost Ruination(t99) = 24% damage boost, following the same logic

That runecrafting one will cost so much, but i think the codex will be good but not better then soulsplit, because soulsplit can burst heal you with bug abilities that hit multiple times compared to this new one, if it doesn't stack i think making that if you re crit it heals you the rest of the amount of the timer, but that would be to overpowered

I'd much rather see options of producing more runes/energies OR more xp. I'm slightly biased since I'm nearly 200m all skills but these rewards look pretty shit for people who skill for profit instead of xp. Not to mention the div one kinda makes cache buff or div relic obsolete.

@@joshuaturcotte412 Evil Lucario literally pointed out that range and necromancy can't use it because Soul Split is part of dps rotations because of ECB Spec/Split Soul. This is useless for range/necro, but it might have useful applications with melee - it'll be really rough for melee though because of how reliant Melee is on soul split heals during Zerk. This is only really gonna shine with magic with the fsoa.

This could be a really good thing for Ironmen accounts, especially for GIM releasing soon. The requirements to do the quests and stuff to be able to gain access to the skilling boss aren't TOO bad, and this would be a fun activity to do with the group. Those prayers will be great for people not rushing to unlock curses

A soul split light variant. Interestingly it might be normal prayers are going to be stronger than curses in terms of damage. Though the curses draining levels does probably even it out, plus soul split being more consistent. Variety will be nice though. Hopefully curses won't completely fall to the wayside.

One thing I did notice is the buy offer you showed for the Eclipsed Soul codex reads "Requires 85 Strength, Ranged" etc but if you hover over it in game it's 75 in each... maybe 2 versions/levels of this are going to be available?

even giving it the benefit of making the impractical assumption that you can crit enough for a 100% up time, it for sure is still not as good as SS. SS brings in far more than 10% your hp every 6 seconds.

How surprising. Make Skilling easier to help people that can boss. Make bossing harder for people that can't boss (especially handicapped players, presently NO path forward) not even a death counter that gives a path forward after a certain number of paid for deaths. DTD should be removed from the game Zuk being the largest insult due to the fact that the "prize" isn't even a trade-able item. MAKE EVERYTHING non TRADE-ABLE.
