I didn't even know this place existed until yesterday when I was looking around on the maps. That was a great trail. Tons of beautiful rock formations, water, and a falls. Can't beat it

Very beautiful, the rocks were crazy also! I remember Curt Gowdy, as I grew up in Massachusetts he was the sports broadcaster for the Boston Red Sox!

It's great seeing you and dad in Wyoming! I worked in Wyoming during the past year and this is one of my favorite spots! Also, thanks for sharing your adventures, and it's always a wonderful to see your hikes!

You can also swim behind the hidden falls. There's a little cave behind it. It's really cool! It's also super cold even in the summer time, but very worth it. Take a water proof flashlight with you, because it's pitch black in there.

Did you get back to see the waterfall? I want to go back when it warmer, take my boots off and go back in the water to see it.

@@nicksangetta8874 I made it to the Hidden Falls in early November just to see (of course, it was a bit cold). I also want to back there some time in summer :)

Getting all set for hiking and backpacking, always enjoy The Sangetta Family Adventures! Would be awsome to hit a couple of trails with ya in the near future. Cheers to continued success. Your videos are #1 in my books sir, as well as David Gray too.

Thanks Silke! It was a little over an hour away from Fort Collins (75 miles away or so). Its about 20 miles west of Cheyenne. Really cool spot and there are a lot more trails out there too.

Loved the rock formations. Just awesome. Wonder if you would consider attaching a link to the GPS locations that you visit. It's something that Nick Zentner (a famous geology professor from Washington State) does and it helps a lot on otherwise hard to find locations.

Thanks for this video! Going to add Curt Gowdy to my spring hiking list. Have you checked out Vedauwoo? It’s right up the road from here, and you can make tons of loops from all the trials and roads in it. Has a day use fee, but last time I was there (march) the pay station was taped up, so you could enter for free.
@nicksangetta88742 жыл бұрын
I have been there once before. We did the loop around Turtle Rock I believe. I think I did a video on it. I was figuring it had to be really close to Curt Gowdy Park. Im gonna have to go back sometime and see if I can find some different trails!

Check out the channel "Ginger Gypsie".. he did a video on this hike during the summer. OMG. Like 100 people at the waterfall. It was crazy! You literally have to see his video to believe it. I guess it gets kinda crowded in the summer. However, everything was green and super pretty.
@lobalopemountainlobster2762 жыл бұрын
@@nicksangetta8874 holy smokes! You got there at a perfect time! I’m going to head up there in the next few weeks to avoid that summer slam. Like you, I’m not a big fan of crowds on the trail.

@@lobalopemountainlobster276 If you can get up there on a weekday it will be much more secluded. I went back the following Saturday (next video!) and I was surprised by the amount of people there. Not a ton, but a few. It seems like the thing to do is hike and then camp.

@@austinhadfield We dont have a ton of snow this year so the peaks may open up a little sooner. Gonna be a bad fire season though. But here in 8 weeks or so its gonna heat up. If only I was 20 years younger with 2 good knees. Then I could do the crazy snow hikes.
