That was pretty cool, I loved the shot from the falls looking over to Cub Lake, you could see the trail over there, sad to see the burn area though! I bet that would be a nice spot to sit at in the spring time ! I was thinking the whole time you were coming down that you might throw your knee out! LOL. I would of sat down an scooted down but I'm get freaked out sometimes when it gets sketchy!

So, fun first hike of 2023 to a fun destination! Two things: Wish we would have had our poles, and also that my sciatica hadn’t flared up so much! I looked a bit “hobbley” on the way back! 😮
@nicksangetta88742 жыл бұрын
I did notice the hobble on the final shot walking back. But that was an epic hike! Glad we saw it.

Barb, you are a beast! It was funny, when we were in RMNP this September, I left my poles by the Thompson River right before getting to the Fern Lake Trail head because I had to filter some water from the river and it was at the end of a long, hot hike and so I just left them laying there, not realizing it until we got to the bus stop and so I didn't want to walk the mile back to get them.. And so last night, as I was watching you guys hike without the poles, I said: "There are some poles by the river, under the snow that you can go and get" :) :) Your #1 Fans T & S

@@silkehubbard1948 Hahaaa…….oh my! We sure would have tried to find them had we known! We would have saved them for you, too. Poles are not cheap!

Amazing ! Rocky is another world in the winter. What app or device do you use to track your trip- miles, elevation, etc. ? Thanks

Good one Nick. The second guy in the dark jacket was using a rope. But how did the dude in the orange jacket get up there first?
@nicksangetta88742 жыл бұрын
I dont know how he got up there. Lol! Maybe there is always a rope there or something. I know nothing about climbing.
@noahsepsenwol81142 жыл бұрын
Using ice axes and crampons. The orange due belayed the leader. Leader put in ice screws for protection and was belaying up his second.
