you missed the carlmont jumps right behind carlmont high school! Some crazy trails there.

Consider checking out Soquel Demonstration State Forest (aka "Demo") located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Also, consider checking out Lamas Peruvian food truck, typically situated in the parking lot across the street from Caffe Mezzaluna.

Clearing "The Wall" at Skeggs on your first attempt was truly impressive (especially your display of trials skills). It took me well over double digits of attempts before I could clear the upper section of that climb! When you return, consider checking out the other trails at Skeggs. Though I live closer to the first set of trails between Pacifica/Linda Mar and Montara, I still prefer the "flow" of Skeggs. Thanks for capturing and sharing your experience an also for keeping the peninsula trails we consider to be "hidden gems" hidden :)
@SuperRiderTV8 сағат бұрын
Thank you! I was so nervous coming into that section, and a little surprised that I made it on my first attempt! The whole climb back out was super fun, too - I wish I had filmed some of those bits. We started running out of light to film, but I'm definitely coming back to this spot for a ride before/after Sea Otter this year!

Top asks for destinations: Lake Tahoe CA, Portland OR, Arnold CA, Anything Vermont, Montreal-ish Quebec, Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Also, if you’re ever in the Bay Area again and wanna ride your sponsor’s namesake, lemme know and I’ll take you on some of the best rides (and food stops) in Marin County!

Awesome approach to vid making, too many people are paranoid/secretive about revealing the locations of awesome trails, like they are suddenly going to get over crowded and no longer be able to ride them or something...At best someone might visit a trail outside their state 1x/year because they saw it on youtube. Good on ya! Will also help build the mtb community and strengthen local commerce. Win win for sure!

The fast conversion from rear wheel slip to trials hopping to clean that climb is so impressive. Well done, I really need to work on that sort of thing myself, smoothly integrating a trials skill on demand instead of premeditated is next level stuff IMHO. Also really enjoyed the high quality video work and background stuff. Makes me want to go on some cool MTB trips instead of just always hitting my local trails.

Pacifica, may be. Even then, this is well known as the dh trail on the SF bay area. Waterdog and Skeggs are all official trails publish on city of Belmont or Mid Penn’s website. He was sensible and did not feature the jumps at the first location, which I bet was of discussion if not sessioned.

I cried when I left San Francisco.....but not because I was leaving behind good mountain biking. It almost seemed there was a government conspiracy to make anything good to ride illegal or highly multi-use. It's sad because the terrain can be so good.
@MrJacobility3 күн бұрын
When I used to ride here 15 years ago, there is an official waiver one has to sign at one of the local bike shop, Gearhead??. The land owner was fully aware of the trail and what was built on it. Unless that has changed. i found this info back then via a quick google search.
