Well that has just cheered me up no end. I have the red Schumacher on the red leather strap. It was my first high end watch and I bought it right back in 1998. I rarely wear it now (as I want it to last forever) but without exception, I smile from ear to ear every time I do 😍

You missed the first Omega Schumacher colab. The 3511.12 was made for the Japanese market. I very much regret selling mine.

That is a cool looking watch that is not very well known, I couldn't find any definitive information if it was a Schumacher watch or rather released for the Japanese Grand Prix and they used Schumacher to help promote when in Japan as he was the new ambassador for the brand -Mark

They look cool, but many will scoff at the movement (right or wrong). You can see from the side shot the the pushers don't align with the crown because this is an ETA 2890-A2 with a Dubois-Dépraz 2020 chronograph module mounted on top. I think the sweet spot for entry into Speedmasters is with the speedmaster automatic which has a valjoux chronograph and still at 40mm and sapphire crystal.

@@CrownandCaliber Rewatched this episode again and saw you replied back. I still have it and it gets some wrist time. It’s turned more into a summer watch as I love how the sun reflects off the carbon dial and when I go to watch races in person I’m wearing either is or my vintage Porsche design Chrono1.

You should look at the 3520.53, there isn't much on it. Interesting colour way, and Schumacher did advertise it.

I am not a fan of the design of Speedmaster but the 2000 Edition and of course the Legend edition are something special.

they should have continued, because as RM as shown there was plenty of room. unfortunately what they needed wasn't fun colors but a whole new Speed master, not the moonwatch,but a racing modern, fresh racing watch. HIDDEN GEMS? GO Chrono, Speedymoon both original and 3576.50, Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec.

Loved the production and the presentation but my guy failed F1 class. First, senna > schummy, second the color were related to the teams he raced at. Ferrari is the red and yellow and blue Benneton

So many errors in this video. The three colours (red, blue and yellow) were not Ferrari colours (only the red was for Ferrari - the blue and yellow were for his previous team Benetton). The last Legend watch didn’t come out in 2001 - it was 2006 when MS stopped racing for Ferrari. And there were 6 Legend series watches - 3 with cream dial (one not available as retail but was given out by MS to Ferrari F1 Team members), one black, one red (all 42mm) and the carbon dial (44mm).

Schumacher moving to AP has killed all omega has done which is why despite it was a true enthusiastic piece has lost its luster. A watch being amazing made alone won't stand to make it collectors item. Which is why Paul Newman succeeded coz he used only that watch he wore.

Hi, I am pretty sure you know a lot about watches , in fact you always get these gems; but unfortunately it is seems to me, with a lot of respect, that you do not know about F1. The best one was Fangio, considering he won 5 championship with 4 different teams, not Schumacher, either Hamilton So please does not repeat as a “ monkey” what others says Cheers
