I always thought the eyes on the clouds, hills, etc... in the background of SMB3 was because they are "actors" dressed as these items (kind of like being cast as the tree in the school play) to go along with the whole theory that SMB3 is a stage play.

I believe there is one more in the very first Super Mario Bros. game, located inside the castle in World 7-4 (the one where you have to guess the correct path), where some bricks you walk over seem to represent hands pointing in different directions.

You mentioned with the super Mario world SNES that you had to defeat bowser to get the graphical change. You just have to clear all the special levels to get that. Once you defeat Bowser, the game is over.

Minor correction, the color changes in Super Mario World happen after all of the Special levels

11:18 in toy time galaxy there is a mini toy train (probably a smaller scale model of the trains youd cross at the start) in the level. i forget exactly where but it is in the level, accessible through first person view

On the topic of pikmin and mario, I noticed a lot of sunshine’s characters could be compared to pikmin, namely the pikmin and Piantas sharing relatively similar colors (except the pikmin are more vibrant) as well as the trait of having foliage on their head, and strollin’ Stu (those little yellow goomba guys) and Bulborbs sharing colors and patterns. I might be overthinking it, but it’s interesting to think about.

about the red overalls and blue shirt, in lots of early artwork and even in super mario all stars smb1, his overalls were that color. it wasnt until super mario bros 3 until it was established

You clearly don't know the definition of the word "hidden", at least not for the first half of the video. The Sunshine part is good though, as are the Galaxy and Galaxy 2 parts. You eventually deviate a bit from the topic though and just start going over secrets for the most part. 9:02 No, those were never meant to be levels. They are clearly just decoration. Without them the castle would look very barren and boring.
