Found this spot two days ago. Saw the dog and it was so cute I said to myself this is the perfect spot for a camp. Got immediately attacked by some nasty insects, pulled out my flamer to get rid of them and protect my new best friend the dog but alas he perished in the flames as well. I was so traumatised I had to fast travel away and I haven’t been back since.

I used to get so damn frustrated using upper floors in builds. I switched to using roofs instead and it has greatly reduced the amount of cursing and anger issues induced by building in 76.

I love what you’ve done with the place! I moved an old camp to a new location & deleting all the camp blueprints from the old place was a gd nightmare. The lag from that has always been ridiculous, now it’s almost unplayable.

I found a pretty easy way to set up the chessboard and homer for placing junk. If you place the chessboard on top of homer, blue print them then you can place that blue print directly on a pressure plate and homer pops right through. For me it’s easier than trying to grab him in free cam.

For future videos, could you potentially showcase all the merges and tough placements at the start, or at the end? If you demonstrate the various tricks, in theory you could cut out all the excessive video footage. In my head, id also love to see a timelapse of the house from start to finish. Potentially could do that by having a second player view and record footage that way, then speed it up?

Quick tip, I've stop destroying wall to place object through it, instead I change it to the pavilion wall and voilà. I find it less annoying than getting the flamer and the generator out.

Amazing, how long did it take becoming comfortable using the flamer and pressure plate. I'm at lvl 314 and have no clue how to utilize these tools.

The flamer took me a bit, bc it felt really complicated to even try it, but in reality it simplifies a lot of the stuff we try to do without it. Pressure plate felt more intuitive but just mess around with it and see what happens!

Cool spot. I have passed on building in the new area for a bit since many people have been reporting the major lag in build mode. There's enough frustration involved while building in 76 already. The new hire that thought we should need actual ammo for a camp decor item needs a bish slap. Also, I totally agree with the new season pass sucking. There are far less rewards and the amount of them that are 1st only is even worse. Who the hell wants canoe paddles if you can't even claim the freakin canoe Todd ?! Even worse is when it comes to the bonus page since you HAVE to purchase a large number of rewards just to gain access to it.

I have a camp here; used some of the merges you did. However I just cannot get the baseball chessboard merge to work. I just cannot grab the ball in regular mode or freecam. So frustrating.

its pretty tough, try setting it on another camp item, like a stash box or something, that way you can shove the camera down further, otherwise it hits the ground and stops

I found this a few days ago... and my theory is it's going to be used in the future. There's no other reason it would be there, and totally boarded up like that. I'm also not going to be surprised if the interior is instanced, and the game-world interior of the building is always empty as we see it now when you clip in. This has become very normal for Bethesda, especially for locations tied to quests. There are a scattering of buildings and structures around Skyline Valley, like the treehouse a bit west of Grindstone Arch. The thing is 100% empty of decorations other than a single radio and a corpse below the fort on the ground. Perfect for a treehouse build for someone who can't build to save their life. It's like a free treehouse prefab only it's much roomier and better designed/looking than the actual prefab treehouse. There's also an empty TNT dome type bunker in the SW, and other shacks and such around the edges, so absolutely explore everywhere in the new zone. Seems they made an effort to add locations to be used for future quests or for players to build. Lots of flat land in the new area for example.

Quick tip. Instead of merging chess boards into poker chips. Use reverse merge and hide them chips under the table
