When a waitstaff at a restaurant or bar like you enough to reserve a table with witty things written on the cards, you know he was kind, funny, and loved by them. My daughter waited tables for many years, and went to funerals when a good friend and customer passed. She invited a 97 year old gentleman to her wedding. He was wonderful. This man might not have had close blood relatives but I know his family included those who served him. Alex you are serving him with the care you’re taking with his items, the things that he enjoyed, and you’re serving the area with donations. You are now part of this man’s family.

This man's collectibles and style reminds me so much of my uncle, even down to the sacks of coins, who passed away a decade ago. He never married, even though he dated often when he was younger. I asked him once why he never married (15 year olds are so blunt!) and he said it was because there was so much to see and do that he knew he would never be satisfied with living a "normal" life and he didn't want to subject a woman to his selfish ways. As his only nieces and nephews we were very close to him and he was fun. He never regretted his choices and lived an amazing life. May this man rest in peace, knowing that he had many great experiences and that his collections are giving so much joy to so many others.

I think that the items we choose to collect are very telling about the way we view our lives. Kudos for sending the winter clothes to those in need. I was worried about my book collection for a long time, but I am going through it now and I will donate many to libraries and a local thrift store ran by a mentally handicapped organization. They train and help the disabled learn to live and work independently. I’m inspired by your work and your generosity to others. God bless you. ❤Brenda

@Ragnar8504 Жыл бұрын
I seriously doubt that, at least in the usual meaning of audiophile, i.e. someone striving for the highest possible reproduction quality. These people buy Nakamichi Dragons and other TOTL cassette decks from the 1980s to have them painstakingly restored and tweaked to perfection. This Pyle on the other hand is one of the most basic cassette decks ever produced and not particularly valuable (I don't know the current prices but they used to be reasonably cheap and you can still buy them new). A hipster who's into lo-fi sounds might still want it but I doubt anyone would pay a lot of money.
