Minor problem, how do youbactivate the crawl on the 2020 kia's radio? In other words, when the name of the song comes on, it currently stops on my radio screen, but how do you activate the crawl, so the entire song title eventually scrolls across the screen?

We're the second owner 2021 Seltos, been to a dealer for the recalls & updates but our radio reception is really Shawty it was said nothing can be done, we feel that's incorrect. Could be a bad antenna, some connector or the thing on the top of the car. We feel there's a solution but who's willing to really check into. Can you give us some insight on this?

I have a 2019 Kia Sorento. When I change the setup for sound where it lists FM radio volume bluetooth media volume and ringtone volume and I move the cursor with my finger or press the button plus button to raise it as soon as I go back to the radio or play music from my USB stick it goes back to the original settings it goes back to the default settings it won't remain at the level I set it to what am I doing wrong?

Oh wow... I'm not the perfect person for this. I think it depends on what kind of music you listen to. I know a lot of people who like to boost the treble and bass, while leaving the mid closer to centred out, but if you have only speaking, like a podcast, sometimes it's better to have the mid boosted, and the treble or bass lower. I'd have to do some KZbin research to come up with a standard. I just make it sound good for my music to my ears, and I'm not sure that there is any science behind my reasoning.

I have a 2024 Sportage. If I put it on Eco mode, it won't save it so that if I turn the car off and on, it goes back to Normal mode. What is the reason?

Usually, the only updates are mapping updates on vehicles with navigation. Other than that, there may be minor software updates that you can ask your dealer about by running your VIN in their system and checking for Service Actions, or Service Campaigns.

Love my new Forte LXS but you’d think that the number on the dial equivalent to a typical volume would be in the high teens or 20’s. On mine it has to be up into the 30’s and 40’s. Sounds great there but is this normal? Have messed with some settings but no change in that aspect

I'm really confused, when i test drove the 2021 Sorento, the user interface had a bunch of purple icons, when i took delivery of my 2022 Sorento the UI was suddenly the one you are showing. Is it because of different manufacturers? Different themes? also I have only very limited function and barely any car settings i can make in the radio (unlike the 2021 model I test drove) any tips? if it helps live in the UAE Edit: some grammar

There are software differences between vehicles, and between different countries too. So it's tough to make one video that serves everyone.

You'll have to check and let me know! The K5 is a vehicle that we just can't seem to keep in stock. Every time we get one, it's sold and out the door. I'll have to check the next time we get in.

Great question, and as of now, it cannot. There are rumours that a future software update may allow that, but I can't get anyone to confirm that right now. So I can't promise anything.

My 2020 Sportage doesn't have any of this .....ok so it has the sub woofer cover there but obviously no sub......does that speaker cover just pop off or where is the earliest place to slice into the speakers ...

Maybe not? That's a good question. I don't remember noticing one. What I do know is that the keyless entry key has to be in the car or the car beeps if it's left on.

Yeah, you can do that. The SX model has 18 inch wheels, so I would suggest matching that tire and rim size to have correct fitment.

Interesting! However satellite radio is only available in America, i dont know any other country where it is. In the UK they have DAB radio and in New Zealand its just plain old FM with no ‘HD’

I have a 2022 Kia k5 gt line. Bought it about 1.5 weeks ago. I was driving down the road today and my front speakers quit working. How can I fix this? I checked the setting and it is set for “center” and not rear only. When I change it to front only there is no sound.

No, not yet. At least not that I'm aware of. Only the 10.25" screens of the newer vehicles have had updates.

As a Brit, I find the radio feature so disappointing in terms of quality. Things are slightly different over here but the reception of my vehicle is shocking that I prefer to use my phone, connected to the internet to play radio channels- it’s that bad. To be clear, digital radio over here is generally very good. My Niro EV doesn’t support this superior mode either. It must either be Kia or this silly sharks fin, as my previous Sportage was no better.

Eee-yah... I did exactly what you recommended, and it didnt help at all. Lots of people who have the EV6 with the " upgraded" Meridian sound system are complaining that it sux, and im an owner, and it absolutely sux. Sounds like a cheap Sparkamatic or a Roadmaster radio. It's terrible. Especially for what the 2023 GT EV6 cost. Meridian is awfu.

@@richesofthepoor In Canada the K5 GT-Line has satellite radio. So if you're Canadian it should be there. If not, there's no simple fix, the car doesn't have the antenna or receiver capable of obtaining the signal, so you would have to go with an aftermarket unit, and maybe play through Bluetooth?
