A lot of Kia owners are hesitant to change some of the settings in the Convenience menu, either because those features weren't explained, or because the menu items titled in a way that's difficult to understand. On the vehicles with the multiple drivers (on the large screens) yes you can customize many things to suit the individual driver.

Question on 2020 Sportage nav system. in the address book all listings are by address rather than by names. Is there a way to show the name? The car has to be in park. Adjust your seat and side mirrors. Press the "Set" button, then press 1 or 2, and it's set.

Hey I have a question. I have the 2022 Kia Sorento x line ex AWD. I wanted the same features that I had in my 2020 Kia optima SX and I am talking about the mirrors moving down when I'm in reverse and the seat moving up and down when I hop in or hop out and I do not seem to have them in this Sorento X line that I was under the impression it had or I'm just missing them. Can you tell me if this model comes with those features and if so how am I supposed to turn those on and if does not have those features is there some way to get those features. It sounds like you live in the U.S. so this may be a bit different, but in Canada, only the SX model has the mirrors that tilt down when reversing, and the memory seats do move back through a setting in the dash which I believe is called "comfort access"

I think you can stay in it easily, and press the button by the driver's knee to open the hatch. Maybe I'm missing what you're asking?

I plan to do a video on this. Essentially each bar represents a "set distance" between you and the vehicle in front. Having 4 bars will keep you much further away from the vehicle in front of you than just 1 bar. The confusing thing is that the bars don't actually represent the distance between cars, they represent TIME between cars. What that means is that 4 bars at 120 km/h is going to be further apart than 4 bars at 60 km/h. Once you drive with it and figure it out, it all makes sense. I'll do a video soon to make it all make sense.

I have a cadenza 2018 , do the doors have to be locked for the trunk to be push to open. My smart trunk stop working when I walk up to my car, what is wrong

It could be a number of things, but yes, the doors have to be locked, and then you have to LEAVE the car for a minute or so, in order to activate the system. The reason that you have to leave the vehicle is that they don't want your trunk opening up behind you immediately after you lock the car to go into a store. They want it to be ready to open when you RETURN from the store.

If they don't try to get out of the car, it should be just fine. If the doors don't open, you shouldn't hear any alarm.

@@BrantfordKia But if my dog or kids move after me temporarily locking the doors for security purposes, surely the interior motion sensors will trigger the alarm causing distress to the occupants. This is what I hoped could be temporarily disabled. My wife's Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV can temporarily disarm the sensors and alarm by simply holding the wiper stalk in it's most upward position until you hear two beeps. Does the 2021 Sorento have a similar function?

@@RY-cm7fb Some trim lines of the Sorento have a "rear occupant alert" system which can sense if there is someone left in the car, and the car can notify you in several ways, (notification on your phone, right up to honking to let you know) but you this function isn't mandatory, you do have the ability to disable it. So you can do what you want to do.

Great Video! Question- my vehicle auto shut off resets every time I turn off the car. I want it off, but every time I restart the car it is back set to 30 minutes. Any idea why this is? Software bug? Also- my welcome sound is highly inconsistent. It will sometimes play and sometimes won't even though the setting is always on. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Both of those seem odd to me. I'm not sure what to tell you. My understanding is that, if you change the settings to not use the auto shut off, that it will stay as you set it, and I haven't heard of any inconsistencies with the welcome sound, so I'm not sure what to tell you.

This is worst update from Kia ever. This dashboard so useless. Pervious dashboard with 3 widgets was so usefull i had there info in one look. Now? Im see only time there wtf? How this could have been approved? Im not understand to this and want roll back old.
