Thanks for the content! My wife and I will be heading to the gorge area from Michigan for the first time. We are not avid hikers so your videos of the short out and back hikes will be a big help to us. Thanks!

Awesome, glad the videos are helping out! RRG is a beautiful place, I think you’ll really enjoy it!

Take a gun with you. You don’t want some hilljack local pulling a “deliverance “ on your ass

Chimney falls on one of the forks of the creek or in the holler between Chimney Rock and Half-moon rock? Can't say I have ever been in that valley after a big rain!
@ExploringWithDRob2 жыл бұрын
Correct but close to the head of the holler near Koomer Ridge.

@@ExploringWithDRob OK, then the right fork of Chimney Top Creek...the left fork heads straight toward 715 opposite Dog fork. Really neat collapsed cave system up that way. Thanks.
@ExploringWithDRob2 жыл бұрын
A lot of stuff up that way, probably still a lot of stuff to be found too!

@@ExploringWithDRob Ever spent a busy weekend up Dog Fork off Swift Camp Creek? Wonderful remote peaceful bushwack!
@ExploringWithDRob2 жыл бұрын
I’ve not. There’s a lot of stuff along Dog Fork and Reffitts Branch I need to visit tho. I have to talk myself into those thick rhodo bushwhacks lol

What kind of storm damage does this area have from the hurricane, my stay at Koomer Ridge camp just got cancelled
@ExploringWithDRob2 ай бұрын
The RRG area got a lot of wind damage, tons of trees down. All of the major forest service roads are currently closed as well as many trails and Koomer Ridge Campground.

@@ExploringWithDRob yep, even Rock bridge was closed. I had to settle for another trip to Copperas falls, but still a good day.
@ExploringWithDRob2 ай бұрын
Seems like Rockbridge Rd always manages to catch a lot of the wind damage. At least you still managed to make a good day of it.

how do you get to the falls? Great video by the way!
