I used to train dogs a long time ago and as I watch you work with your dogs I realize I’m still a beginner just like you are. There’s so much to learn. Thank goodness for digital stuff and cameras. They don’t help you protect your animals directly but they give you information so you can figure out what to do. A question I have is another family I watch is raising cattle use their donkeys as protection as well and I’m wondering why your donkeys are over there by themselves all the time?

The coyote is avoiding the donkeys but Kora shouldn't be out the fence solo because the coyotes out number her, unless at least let 1 of the other dogs knows how to get out. Perhaps put the donkeys in the outside pasture so the coyote still have a barrier to pass to get the goats even if the dogs are on the other side.

And yes, I have a lot of lights outside because I like the light. And it is the most awesome cameraand I love it and I’m going to be replacing the other cameras that I have and eventually end up with probably two or three more I gotta figure it out to cover my whole place. Happy Thanksgiving to you all, I haven't been on lately, I really haven't been feeling well, but I tried to catch up on your videos. I am so happy you see what's going on at night and how the dogs have been busy, I bet that's what was leading Cora out of the fence, she's a good dog. I saw where Mr Mojo tore up the cat house, I bet something else was going in there and he was doing his job. I love the new chicken pen it's such a beautiful picture of all those chickens inside the yard there all the colors, and it's really nice. I agree with you about Betty's grand babies they are a little bigger, but they aren't quite there yet. I love ghost she's adorable and I remember what she went through and how she healed up, she's amazing. I truly enjoy all your animals, even Mr stinky that none of us can smell, aren't we blessed. Eventually, you will understand what I mean, I waited till I was feeling better now. I gave you something to wonder about. How is Kaleb doing, I keep him and and all of you in my prayers. God bless yas and I pray you shoot a couple of those coyotes, I don't know but maybe it will keep them away then

14:12 - Coyotes are indeed smart. I live in the Chicago suburbs, and we have "urban coyotes" here that are very habituated to humans -- and the tasty snacks that said humans keep in easy reach of predators. Around here, I can't believe the number of naive humans we have who get all "wailing and gnashing of teeth" when their "pocket puppy" gets taken right out of their "fenced" backyard by a 'yote. People seriously have no concept of how nature works; I often wonder how these humans have survived so long without getting hit by a truck while crossing the street LOL!! They don't realize that their 4-foot-tall fence has no power against a coyote that can jump easily 7-8 feet from a standstill. They also forget about flying predators like hawks, owls, eagles, etc.
@charmc415222 күн бұрын
I remember seeing images of coyotes outside Wrigley Field. There were no coyotes there when I was a kid... It seems like I remember seeing a video of a little girl in the Chicago suburbs being chased through her yard by a coyote a few years ago too. They don't just prey on small domestic animals in people's yards.

Where I live, coyotes were found to send a female off to entice an intact male dog, and then the pack would attack when the female lured it away. I've seen some KZbin videos where it looked like one coyote would try to "play" with a dog to lure it to the pack so they could attack it too. I used to see all sorts of comments about how coyotes were these shy, solitary creatures, but that hasn't been what I've seen for the most part. Where I live, I hear them in packs chasing things down and killing them. I haven't heard them as much as I used to though, so I'm hoping they've been getting taken care of by people who are encountering on their properties so they stay away from mine.

Hi Kevin and Rachel, I hope your both ok? Talking about your cameras on your property, the first thing that popped into my head was mojo trying to get both of your attentions because a goat had it's head stick in the feeder and you could see him trying to pull her out by it's back legs, then when he couldn't do it after several attempts he lay down next to her! So from that alone i know he wouldn't let anything get them if he can help it! He's a brilliant dog and he's going to be hard to replace when that time comes as he's worth is Wight gold! ❤😢 I've seen things online of coyotes running off with people's pets in Broad day light!

Coyotes are good at luring a dog out and then the pack attacks them. It is a real problem here in Arizona. The pack sends one coyote to lure the dog while the rest of the pack hides. Be careful that isn’t what is going on with your one dog. Good luck.
