I remember when I was about 9 or 10 my mum went to a Halloween party dressed as Viv. She dyed her hair orange, suck silver starts on her forehead, even bought a denim jacket she turned into a cut, studded, and wrote VERY METAL on. She looked just like him, it was awesome

Loved the Young Ones back in the day when I watched this on MTV. Then again later on Comedy Central. Even the Dallas PBS station used to show it. When I first saw this episode on MTV with my brother & cousins, only I fully understood "The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe" reference. Good times. YOUNG ONES FOREVER! Rik Mayall forever young!!

Samsun O.O David Rappaport. He committed suicide by shooting himself in the head years ago. I saw him coming out of Toni and Guy's hair salon in Holloway Road, London in the eighties. Bizarrely enough I'd just bought a copy of The Time Bandits on VHS from the record store opposite. He signed it for me. How lucky was that.

_Back in '77 here in the States, my 4th grade Teacher Ms. Seachrest read The LWaW to us. Even when I saw this episode back in '84-'85 late Saturday Nights on Mtv, the LWaW skit was exactly how I pictured it in the 4th grade, except I always pictured Ginarrbrik (un named in the book) as a typical Dark Elf/Dwarf._ _Edit: Google says he was of the Black Dwarf species._
