About MY MANE PROBLEM:
A bad hair style can look, feel and be life-ruining. Dr. Boogie (stylist to many celebs) will transform individuals in an amazing way but also dig deeper to fix what's in their head.
Known for developing Eve’s hallmark platinum short cut, creating Kimora Lee Simmons’ sexy glam look and defining Lisa Raye’s signature style, while giving Keyshia Cole something she can feel, Dr. Boogie has styled a host of Hollywood's “Glamour Girl” clients. The long list includes Debbie Allen, Raven-Symoné, Taraji P. Henson, Trina, Fantasia, Christina Milian and many other including Kym Whitley and Vivica A. Fox. His hairstyles have been seen on national advertising campaigns for Tyra Banks, “America’s Next Top Model,” “The Cheetah Girls,” Luster’s Hair Care Products, the bebe fashion line ads and more.

I felt this! 🙌🏾 I feel as if Monique is not the only one feeling this way. A lot of black women hide under “protective styles” because we are not fully confident with our natural hair. We must build our confidence through self love and teamwork! #blackgirlmagic

I just don’t understand why no one understands, that for BW, changing our hair is not always our choice. This woman was approached by her new job about her hair.

It’s breakage
@void________

@@GDL364 kitchens and breakage are not the same. Idk if u are Af. Am. or not but "kitchens" is used distinctly for new hair growth, with natural curl separation, indicating "it's time to straighten bc ur [ethnic] roots are showing.". If he means breakage, he should say breakage. He's the professional. You shouldn't have to clarify for him.

@@void________ oh well I always understood the kitchens to be the short hair at the nape of your neck so we have two different understandings of the word. The way I’ve heard kitchens used is the way they are talking about the short broken hair in the back or your neck not new growth.

There’s no coincidence that “protective styles” specifically lace wigs for more popular when natural hair was a thing.

That’s how many women feel about makeup. If they aren’t beat down for Halloween, they can’t been seen. Sad indeed.
