It'd be great if you could retune them to a more mainstream tuning and maybe get a collab iem for that as well. I love Hidizs and want them to do well, but they always seem to release iems that have divisive tunings that are hard to sell.

Yeah it's so weird, the quality is absolutely there but the tuning is a love/hate thing. I'm shocked they didn't go with a safer tuning. Parts of me are thinking they just couldn't do it or they settled for what they got out of it.

The Kiwi Ears Quartet sounded more satisfying to me but I like the Shell of the MS5 better

Good review with great detail. The MS5 for me was not to my liking. Just not natural in the upper mids to treble. Transients in particular cymbal strikes and brushes sounded off. Male vocals were great though.
