What really separates the jaybird earphones from most other earphones , and in this video it was mentioned kind of like an afterthought is the brilliant app and mostly it’s unbelievable eq... after testing dozens of earphones and being a sound engineer at my profession , I can firmly say that this is by far the best eq implementation I have ever used , it’s is so good I can compare it to a 600$ eq plugin I’m am using at my studio , the level of flexibility is unbelievable, and you can make them sound however you want in the best way possible , this is why saying that you prefer the sound signature of the tevis is not telling the whole story , the jaybird can be fine tuned (if you know how to use an eq) to a really high level , not like those lousy eq’s you are getting with most music streaming’s services or even other apps like jabra and sennheiser ,you need more clarity ? , not a problem , you want pumping low bass ? ... not a problem ...etc , you can even tweak the curve of the eq for even finer adjustments ... the presets are saved and can be shared across other users , and are also saved to the earphones themselves .... one more thing about sbc , aac , aptx etc.. after a deep research , I found that having the latest bt codecs is not tha t important as long as you are playing Apple Music or Spotify etc that support either mp3 320kbps or aac 256 kbps it really less important because it’s really really hard to tell the difference between aptx,aac,sbc... what matters more in general is what kind of job the engineers did on a certain hardware , more so with the jaybirds that are heavily rely on the app and it’s eq to make them sound best , and actually , when using such an eq , the signal is being handled and converted again in order to change the sound ... I can firmly say that jaybirds earphones sounds unbelievably great when tweaked right !!!!

I've tried both and I have tried at least 30 different EQ settings with the Vistas. The Lypertek just sounds better in my opinion. AptX makes a difference on an Android device. Vistas sounds terrible with flat EQ but it does improve significantly with all the EQs the app presents, but it doesn't have a large soundstage like the Tevi's which can be compared to the Sennheisers.

1- not everyone is a sound engineer like you who bother in tuning eq for the best results. We want the best "default" audio from the manufacturer at cheaper cost. 2- Vistas soundstage is horrible. 3- You can get better TW earbuds with Vistas money but you probably wouldn't find better balanced sound TW at $90 price point.

I was able to reduce all over emphasizing frequencies on the vista’s and it sounds very smooth now. A bit softer at first (cause the ear has to get used to massive eq adjustments) but really nice with Harman Target (Jaybird Vista) eq, not perfect but still really nice and better than most other in ears.

U can... Adjust volume on the Vistas, u just have to download the app and costumize the button control, it then save the setting on the earbuds it self, so if you use this on another device, that button setting will keep working

The Jaybird App can makes me change the sonority of the earphone, so I can adjust to my preference. It's more expensive but worth, and isn't only EQ, it's I can use thousands of presets available from others users and this can help people that don't understand much of how to get a better sound changing the EQ.
