Cheers Mike for another great video! Trust you also plan to review the 9000...I'm actually very interested to learn how they compare to the 6000 and also to the Sennheiser MM 450 X (plus other BT headphones you mentioned recently). Again many thanks!

I've had my UE6000 since Tuesday and have really enjoyed it. I'm one of those headphone junkies and this one has quickly become one of my favorites. Like you, I tend to prefer the sound with the noise cancelling enabled for a more lively sound but it sounds great in passive mode as well. I thought these would end up being pretty good, but I've been very impressed. Definitely recommended as a great all around headphone.

I have decided to go for the UE 6000. I finally got to try the M-80 at the Windows Store and really liked the sound. Unfortunately, they heated up my ears very quickly, which is a shame because they were very nice headphones. The UE 6000 also sounds great in both modes, and I do not have the heating issue with it. Thank you for your input.

They have excellent bass. I bought mine two days ago and I love them. The vocals on rock sound great and the bass on EDM and hip hop sounds amazing.

I bought these based on your review and I have to say I'm not disappointed. I've used them so far on a 17 hour ferry with a deep droning enging and I found the noise cancelling excellent. The only thing I find with them is your ears get quite hot after a short time.Maybe like 15/ 20 mins. Not so hot that its overly annoying but I do find that I take them off for a few seconds to get some air every now and again. They have great all round sound in active mode. Overall I'd have to say recommended!

2 weeks in and trekking 3 hours round trip to school every day, and IM IN LOVE with these! Sound quality is great, and while ANC isn't perfect, it DEFINETLY takes off the low end on the subway. Active mode can get a TINY bit sibilant on some tracks, but otherwise AMAZING! Bass is tight and crisp, but far from overpowering. I've already had people at school asking me about these, saying "they look like beats". Which I follow up with "yeah, except they don't sound like garbage"!

It doesn't, but there is a simple mod one can do. Open up the side where the cable is (left side). Then strip the wire and solder it to a little stereo panel mount jack.. And voila, it fits perfectly and is very sturdy.

I've gone through some of you best reviews and absorbed the information u put forth, so when i went to an apple store recently, i had alot of the same views, the harmon/kardons surrized me with their sound despite their deseign, the bose qc's blew me away in an incredibly loud apple store how they could dissipate 80 to 90% of all of the noise, but i have to say overall best sound goes to these headphones here, i have other points but find it arbitrary to discuss, with this as my overall summary
@JacobMelodies9911 жыл бұрын
+Sam Luk the ue 6000 are 2 times more expensive however they are much better. They are foldable which makes it easier to carry. They sound better especially with active noise cancelling. However the ue 4000 have more sound isolation and are much lighter.

I've owned this headphone for about 10 months now, and I'd like to say that they are the best premium headphones I have ever tried out. It is even better than that $500 Beats by Dr Dre imo. It looks good and has been well recognized in my school (a couple people admitted they bought it after they saw mine). Regardless, I would like to address one issue with the silver plastic around the cushion-part. It is definitely not very noticeable, but some of the paint seems to have gotten scratched off.

the jack is standard 3.5mm it will work but you will not be able to use the mounted controller on the lead.

In terms of sound quality these are the best of the three, but perhaps only in powered mode w/ batteries. I listened to them without batteries as well and liked the sound quality a lot. If you want feedback on the other ones, the Soul SL150 actually has pretty decent sound quality without much exaggeration of the bass and a rolled off treble (this prevents listening fatigue). As for the Solo HD, I do not like the sound quality for the price (no hate, just being honest). Hope this helps.

Listening to vocals (Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain) Im getting goosebumps. The seperation of the vocals In ACTIVE mode with my Iphone on FLAT EQ is just amazing! Seriously Lush, and then listening to SKRILLEX or some Heavy Metal, these things just BANG! Best Sub -$200 headphones by far (and I tried a lot)! Thanks HIFIGUY528!

Hey Hifiguy! With the built-in amplifier, how much of a benefit is an amp like an E11 for the passive mode? Given that the UE6000 has seemingly put itself into a great position amongst 'Mid-Fi' phones, (Say, the V-Moda, Amperior, K550, and so on) what is an appropriate Mid-Fi Amp/DAC to pair along with it in it's category, or just in general?
