How long did you let it burn in before testing? I have a Svanar LE now too and I do wonder.

@@TheHonestAudiophile Ah this is very long with these battery based earphones. And a long proces because they only last some hours and than you have to load them again so a lot of work. Did you do this with these ones too? REALLY? And did you had with these earphones really a big difference than compared with only 12 hours listening? Are these last hours gave any difference? I'd love to read your experience. Greetings and thank you. Onno Nugteren the Netherlands. 🙂

As my review process states, I burn-in for 40 hours. Obviously with a battery the time is split with chargings. As mentioned in my review process, often changes are not noticed even with burn-in. If I notice a difference worth mentioning, I will mention in review and if you follow my channel or watch a lot of reviews that doesn't happen often.

Nice, HONEST review, David (although your pronunciation of the Swedish word, Svanar, needs work). ;)

how does the DaVinci X stack up to these and have you heard the HBB Jupiter Subtonic Storm or Canpur CP622B as im eyesing them all or the X and id like to know how they stack up
@TheHonestAudiophile9 ай бұрын
Da Vinci X is more technical, has more connection to the music, in my opinion is significantly better in all areas. I've not heard the Subtonic Storm or CP622B.

seems atm the Canpur CP622B and Subtonic Storm are the rage at canjam id love to know how the X compares. SHould be something to look forward to in the future.@@TheHonestAudiophile

$2000 for a single dynamic driver of unknown size or pedigree is patently ridiculous and is obvious hubris on the part of Hifiman. The wireless - I don't know about you but most folks in this hobby typically DON'T buy anything named "Jr." Thanks for a very good critique. I generally agree with your assessment.
@TheHonestAudiophile10 ай бұрын
I totally understand. Yeah Jr is an interesting model name choice for sure. I do prefer the LE over the Jr.

Hifiman price usually drop like crazy especially for their DD model. I expect to see these for less than half the price in less than a year lol.
@TheHonestAudiophile10 ай бұрын
You can get the TWS options for lowerprices on the Hifiman website, LE is $199 (originally$299) and Jr $119 (originally$179). The Svanar is still $1,999 though.

Almost sounds like over all you prefer the OH700VB?
@TheHonestAudiophile10 ай бұрын
I would take the OH700vb over the Svanar every day.

SVANAR Wireless is the full option, SVANAR LE is the one without wireless charging and LDAC. SVANAR JR is the cheapest one, it has LDAC but R2R DAC is excluded. I think you are mistaken.

I’m sure you can buy adapters for it? Maybe? lol I’ve seen adapters for many things, but I haven’t searched for this one.

It's just that at US$2000, you shouldn't have to.

Why oh why can Hifiman not give you a good cable with anything? I don’t get it. Doesn’t matter how much you spend, they simply cannot come up with a decent cable. I find that really strange. You buy the susvara, ok, you spend that kind of money, you’re going to buy a really nice cable for it… ok, so that makes at least a little sense. But when they put a proprietary connection on this iem, you’re stuck. That’s the only cable you’ll ever be able to use on it. No one wants to use some funky adapter on their $2k iem to make it 2 pin. It’s just baffling how they miss so big on a product like this. Can’t wrap my head around it. I mean, if they can’t source one, which, come on, that makes zero sense; but let’s say that’s true… team up with effect and put one of their cables in there. It’s two grand. And please, just use 2 pin. I just don’t get it.
@TheHonestAudiophile10 ай бұрын
It is a 2 pin but the actual way it enters into the shell is proprietary; very skinny, shallow and has a groove that only fits their cable. So they include an adapter that takes an average cable and "shrinks" it to fit the shell. A stupid design, all they needed to do is make the pin entry normal size. For a 2k price tag it should have an Effect Audio cable, totally agree.
