Sue, I think the original was one of the first videos of yours I watched and I was shocked at both the behaviour of that group and by the damage to your face. The re-edit is punchy and the soundtrack heightens the sense of impending danger. Well put together and a salutary lesson to all of us who venture into the high mountains. Hopefully your sorties into the Sierra Nevada will be just as rewarding and without the trauma. 😊

@@IanTupmanOutdoors Hi Ian! I remember that this video was the first you saw, we’ve had many an adventure since, eh? Thankfully not with any such mishap. I’m glad I re-edited this, it didn’t feel quite right to leave the original with a couple of errors. Have a safe journey home 🤗

That rockfall must have been terrifying! Props to you for pushing through such an intense climb. Stunning scenery though, wow. The landscapes looks amazing and really beautiful footage as well! Well done and stay safe out there! 🏔💪

@@TalesFromAbroad-SJ Hi Simon. Yes.. it was pretty eventful! Looking back, the difficulty we encountered where the glacier had retreated from the bottom of the summit ridge was by far the scariest part. The split lip was just a nuisance by comparison. It’s an addictive but sobering adventure! All the best to you both 🤗

Three brilliant climbs Sue with all that beautiful Alpine grandeur 🏔️🏔️🇨🇭 But you told the truth when it comes to mountains 🏔️ they have a dark side too 🥹 That rock fall looked scary especially knowing you had to cross the face later in the decent (bravo) for keeping your bottle! and the needless man made rock fall you had the accident with Sue you are a tuff cookie 🙌 But enjoyed that a great new edit Best wishes to Dave and yourself 🤠Simon

Thanks Simon, first time I’ve done a re-edit, the last one has been boggling me for ages ☺️ You know only too well about that dark side. Yet still we are drawn, and a powerful draw too. All the best for 2025 😁

A wonderful atmosphere video. That smack to your face looked sore, but you kept going, well done. We know you are true grit material. And the yoga moves looked hard 🧘♀️. Finally, the beer 🍺. Well earned 👍

@@catchyoulater.5836 Thank you Mick 😁 None of that was more difficult than having your swimming stroke picked to bits & re-learning the front crawl 😉

Good going on that Sue. A nice early start-up. The rock fall It could have been worse. Do you think they knew they had loosened the rock? Hard not to know. Fantastic views on top as you would expect. Re-the return - it was a bit dicey in some areas. I think the river crossing could have been the worst. Well, great stuff. Have a cool week ahead. Mark

@@WyeExplorer Hi Mark! Funny you should mention the river crossing towards the end, that’s exactly what my sister said! And you’re right, the rockfall was one of those ‘unlucky lucky’ events. Good point about those climbers, I think they were aware, but pushed on. We will never know. A wonderful example though of how other people show amazing kindness too. Hope you’re enjoying the recent super cold conditions 🤗

@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Hey, that's cool - your sister and myself thinking alike. I saw greasy rock. Absolutely, there was kindness at the end of the day.
