I just finished interviewing Prof Bart Kay on my channel, and in pt 2 (which will be released Wed morning at 5am) he stated unequivocally that there is NO evidence that "high" LDL is in any way a cause of heart disease. I got just my blood work back last week by the way, and my total cholesterol was 171, after about 4 1/2 years of Keto, and the last year or so mostly carnivore. My A1C was 4.5 by the way.

Got my first set of blood results back since I have been on carnivore. My doctor said all looked good, but my zero carb carnivore diet for the past 10 months has, as she said it, “put your cholesterol out of wack!” I gave her links to cholesterol videos before she contacted me back so she would hopefully not worry so much that I predicted my cholesterol would go up! And sure enough it is the highest it has ever been! My blood pressure: 100/75 Total cholesterol: 285 HDL: 76 LDL: 194 triglycerides: 47 My Triglycerides/ HDL ratio is: .618 (So I have healthy large fluffy LDL particles! Glucose: 83 A1C: 5.1 Non HDL Cholesterol: 209 BMI is: 19.1 Height: 5’7” Age: 47 Weight- 122 lbs Vitamin D- 55 (without Vit. D supplement since I am outside most of the day in summer in this Texas heat messing with my plants.☺️👍🏻 Even though it is over 100 degrees, I have no issues. ) My TSH went back up from 1.75 last year before carnivore, to now: 2.16- so much better! I have no thyroid symptoms since on carnivore and taking one drop of 2% lugals daily! So the two have helped with that! All other markers in normal range! I am very pleased with my results! Had to share the good news! ☺️👍🏻

Thankyou for yr simple explanations. Comes at an ideal time as my doctor’s just told me my cholesterol is too high. And recommends going back on a statin, which i insisted he take me off six months ago. He also recommends a low fat diet 😱 I have been 95% carnivore for the past 3 years and never felt better. (72yrs) I love yr the channel....Thankyou

Teach your doctor the truth on cholesterol or fire them and find a new doctor! Don’t take statin!

So glad to hear that you are an advocate for yourself. Clearly, I need to educate on statins too. I wish more people in medicine looked outside the box of big Pharma. ❤️

When I moved to another state I needed to find a new cardiologist. At out first meeting the first words out of my mouth were, don't even think of trying to put me on a Staten. Don't even ever bring it up! If your triglycerides, A1C and HDL are all in the healthy range, then don't fret about LDL or total cholesterol even if you doctor tries to tell you different!

I thought , if we are losing our weight…how can we get a blood clot…on a carnivore diet ? I exercised more now then i did 5 months ago! I lost 48 lbs & still plan to lose more in the months ahead! This sucks knowing that i could possibly get a blood clot, because I’m eating beef, butter, eggs, pork belly, & other meats! Knowing this is giving me STRESS! 😩

I have never heard anyone say that a blood clot was a risk of doing carnivore. I haven't watched this video yet, so I don't know if she says it, but I've been following Dr. Berry, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, the Carnivore Doctor, and many others for at least two years, and not a one of them have said that. I've also read literally thousands of comments from other carnivores and not a single one have mentioned getting a blood clot.

I am 62, been Keto (edging towards carnivore but was born with one kidney so a little hesitant) for 1.5 years and my numbers are finally great, CAC of 0, except for highish LDL, of course. I can’t quite figure out if the cardiologist I saw is telling me this out of obligation, but she said even though everything looks good, I should continue to take statins because high LDL is responsible for hidden soft artery plaque that the CAC score does not pick up. This is nuts! I take a statin 3x a week because I refuse to do 7 days but I feel gaslighted by doctors which is confusing! I am still trying to research this soft plaque issue so I can make a decision already. Thank you for sharing research which is why I subscribed👍

​@@YourWellnessAllyplease do. When I was diagnosed T2D over 15 years ago at age 52 I was put on statins and blood pressure meds. Started keto 2 years ago and lost 90 lbs. so far (BMI under 25 now), A1c is 4.6, and off of blood pressure meds. I would like to get my doctor to agree to stop statins, so I need to be, "armed," with good info. Thanks!

Greetings! I'm so glad to see this. I'm still a vegan at this point and my ldl is 282. Does this mean I shouldn't try carnivore? Do you think it will make it even higher? My doctor wants me on statins, but I refused. Agghhh!! Love and blessings ♥️🙏

What is your HDL and triglycerides? I am suspicious that your trigs are high too due to a high carbohydrate diet. Gosh no! Go carnivore. See how you feel. Commit for a few months. You will feel satiated and your body will purrrr.

I love your videos. I’m perimenopausal I was about to go vegan. Im over 400 pounds. I have poss afib. Is this safe for me?

The best news about this way of eating, it is the appropriate way for a human to eat. Many people would suggest transitioning into strict carnivore over a 4 or 6 week period. Cut out ALL processed foods, avoid all seed oils as much as possible, stop eating and drinking sugar, and stop eating grains. If you like vegg, eat real low carb vegg and eat when you're hungry and eat until your full. Some berries and nuts if you like, then move as close to carnivore as you like as time goes by. I weighed over 265 in the past, this morning I weighed 159 and I just turned 59 a week ago. Eating this way has changed my life! Many people do just jump straight into carnivore but the transition can be a little rough for a week or so.

I was keto in 2019 and lose down to 380 and did carnivore for like a week but stopped for some reason not sure why but a lot going on in my life. Although when isn’t it lol. I want to get to goal. I had a dream Sunday that I was healthy weight but I was eating meat. I’m going to ease into it. Thanks.

@@RadiantlyRachel You are most welcome! When I first started keto I lost over 50lbs and then completely came off the rails, gain most of that back, and just muddled through for about a year... I was so discouraged about it. But I finally got back on track and it has changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. One of the most important things I've learn is this. We all fail, but that does not make us failures. Failing is what we do, not who we are. We all experience failure, that's part of life, but it doesn't not have to define us. Keto & Carnivore work! As long as you don't lose hope, don't give up, and don't quit, you will make it. (even if you stumble a few times along the way)

Like Bart Kay says: Your cholesterol is under complete control of your body. Your body knows what it's doing. It is a result of ~4 BILLION years of evolution. If you are eating a species-appropriate diet, then your cholesterol numbers are irrelevant. The ONLY time that those numbers have ANY meaning is in the context of metabolic illness, by which time, there will be MANY (more important) warning signs, e.g. obesity, diabetes, blood pressure, height to waist ratio, BMI chronic inflammation, cancer etc. My suggestion: don't even have the lipid panel done. That way, you can avoid the confrontation that will follow when your doctor tries to prescribe you a statin!

I am in my 50's, been doing ketovore for 4 years now, 5' 9" 165 lbs, working out 4 days a week, tons of energy, zero aches and pains, zero medications. I had a checkup and blood work done, my Doctor says "wow, your numbers are amazing, what have you been doing" I respond, ketovore, he responds, ohhh, you should not do that, it's bad...
