I'm a novice...I'm not bad at fades now but because of the strong demand for this cut I have to do it better and do it QUICKLY. I hunt for barber vids almost every day and this one on fades is a gem for me... It's so well put together and the steps are perfectly clear... That is a beautiful fade .i have been a barber for 32 years I was taught by an old school barber he is 85 years old . I only know his way of cutting so I do enjoy watching and learning new techniques.. what shears do you use? What was that technique you used at the end with your scissors? My barber taught me to fade starting from the top down so that eliminating going over the same area over and over ( not sure if you know what I mean) how ever I am going to try this technique . Also when I fade I always go in with the clippers on an angle I feel it fades in easier and quicker . How long does it take you to do a haircut like this and how much do you charge? I hope you don't mind these questions . I work in a very busy shop and we have to be quick! I would love to use this technique and slow down my cuts and charge more however my boss would not go for that he is 85 and I can't teach an old new tricks! Good question. The 1A is a blade that falls between the 1 and the 1 1/2. So I would say that it would be like a plastic 1 with the lever open

How is the Babyliss machine compare to magic clip. The andis double magnet guards fit good on them or do they have some play

+Jeremy Rodriguez I like both clippers to be honest with you. The babyliss remind me of an Andis Masters for some reason, and about the guards, the purple guards don't fit well but the magnets keep them in place. Safe to use for fading but not for removing bulk

I brought the new envy li but the guards didn't work so I return it and got a magic clip just don't like wahl guard system. But seeing u use the fx with the purple guards it got me interested. Yeah but if you want it to be exactly like this try showing a picture of this (Make sure you go to a skilful barber tho not like some old guy) or you could try explaining it with your hands showing the highest part to the shortest part. You could also try learning clipper guard length numbers.
