Interesting, thanks for the review! When i take the photos i will try to create well exposed framed so that my negatives look good, then if some frames didn't get enough contrast i will adjust that when editing my camera scanned frames.

@@SinaFarhat A well exposed negative is key for both scanning and printing! Thankfully we have ways in both for bumping things up! Thanks for watching 🍻

Not to nitpick, but my ear hears you say Sodim Sulfate when listing the dry chemicals for DIY mixing. The formula calls for Sodium Sulfite which is a different chemical from the former. Enjoyed the video, though, as usual!

@@alanhuntley55 there is a strong possibility I used the wrong word! That sequence took several takes so I probably just picked the one where I didn’t completely fumble! Thanks for watching 🍻

This look reminds me of what I have been getting with Arista EDU 100 pushed to 200 in HC-110, but with a wider range of films.

Under-Exposure and pushing with HC-110 is a great way to bump up your contrast! Thanks for watching 🍻

These look good. I would be interested in trying to mix my own developer from the formula you mention, but I don't think it is easy to get hold of the chemicals here in Denmark. Will have to check. Regarding contrast, I am using Ilford DD-X in 1+9, which I have tested for a number of films. I usually overexpose by 1 stop and adjust exposure and contrast in post. By the way, what is artist/album title of the jazz music underlying the video? That caught me as well. Thanks for the video Alex.

@@ulrikchristiansen Thanks! The chemicals are always the sticking point and I don’t see a raw chemical provider in Europe. The music is by Almost Here from Epidemic Sound where I get most of my backing tracks. Thanks for watching 🍻

for more contrast, I develop longer and bigger dilution than stock. It really depends on how is the light, cloudy or sunny
