Every house with permissions that hydra demolish is a potential lawsuit that govt will have to pay because GHMC didn’t follow procedure and people got bank loans on these homes that hydra is demolishing. Who do u think bank will go to when people can’t pay their loans. They gave loans because GHMC gave permission. Judge is asking the right question. Hydra was not even legal until governor passed ordinance yesterday.

@@madhavreddy9186 not really there intention is good but not the approach. They haven’t even addressed the source of the problem which is GHMC permissions allowing construction in FTL. Suspending few employees is not going to solve it, they need a step in the approval process ensuring no future constructions are allowed. It’s almost like they are doing politicians dirty work for them and clearing lands so they can encroach again. They are yet to present a proper plan on how to save lakes but demolishing properties which should have been done after understanding impact. Every property they demolish that has permission is a potential lawsuit on GHMC either from the owner or the bank if they have loans. They haven’t changed GHMC protocols to protect FTL and buffer zones, no communication on ftl mapping to people, no understanding of impact to economy and people in general, no plan on how to recover lakes, no proper remediation plan for impacted people, all of this should be done before they even start demolition. It looks like they are saving Hyderabad from floods but they don’t even have a clue how many of these places were impacted by floods in last 20/30/40 years. The judge is very right in asking those questions.

First do assessment of ftl and construction that blocked Seize back govt encroached land where ever possible If not collect 2 times market value for residential occupants and 5 times for commercial occupants Book govt servants who gave permission and built roads electricity etc Make alternate ways for water draining colllect penalties and regularise the area Demolishing is not solution Foolishness is old building not hindrance New building only problems

Because they demolished the property which has a petition in court and they ignored all prior notices from court. Hydra process is very inconsistent. They are indeed only focusing on demolition and no control had been put in place for stopping illegal permissions which is the root cause. They gave 48 hour notice and demolished in 13 hours. Up until yesterday they weren’t even legal because ordinance was not passed in the local govt assembly. Ranganath was lying in court saying he only supplied men and machinery when in his interview on tv he spoke in detail about the owner of this property running a clinic in the house. The judge has every reason to be annoyed because every house with permissions that they demolish is a potential lawsuit on GHMC
