It almost has one of that charred wood feel with the black. I absolutely love it. I definitely think it is very doable for the average do it yourselfer. I love the understated pulls, letting the texture be the star of the show.

"I HATE painted furniture!" I've said that so often, that it's become my mantra! So, Ms Katie Scott, thank you for turning all my ideas about painted furniture ON THEIR HEADS! This was the first ever "painted" video I've ever watched and absolutely approved of--- Congratulations, on teaching an old dog, a beautiful new trick!! LOL 👍

Normally not a huge fan of painted furniture, but damn, the original dresser with those crosses was a hard no. Really like the black on black on black and the texture is really something else, very impressive!

I'm halfway through and the alligator roller has just made its appearance. So exciting! ..... Back again at the end. I think you've started a trend Katie. This is so 'modern gentleman's study'. I'm going to try it with a dark brown drawer contrast with bronze hardware to make it look even more like an enormous piece of expensive French luggage. May I say your spraying technique is flawless.

Katie! This turned out so much better than I thought it would! Lol. The black made it quite masculine and really handsome. I think the croc pattern could be beautiful in other colors too. If someone wanted a softer look a light taupe would be pretty! Great job trying something new. It gives us all courage! ❤

KAPOW!! THAT IS INCREDIBLE! LOVE the alligator skin (moc croc) look! So fun & sophisticated! Thinking on what I have or need to find to do this! I appreciate not using contrasting pulls as they would detract from the coolness of the pattern. You really know your how to flip furniture. I love how you explain what you do and why. Enjoy your day! Have a fab weekend!!

I was a bit dubious at first about the faux croc texture, but once I saw it was only on the drawer fronts I totally got it. Like a classic Chanel handbag, this would look divine with the handles in polished brass and matching polished brass bracket legs.

Your videos always have such helpful tips. The offhand statement about how well BIN shellac sticks to everything and therefore makes you leery of using it in your sprayer -- super helpful, never would've thought of that, and I just bought a sprayed, so, THANKS!

First, I love how giddy you were when the roller texture experiment worked so well! 😊 Second, I'll bet some Rub 'N Buff and a brass plate at the bottom would take this to the next level!
