Oh Katie! I was skeptical!! The way that piece was shaking all about when you were taking it apart made me wonder if indeed is was beyond saving! But you did it and made it so NICE!! I truly love how you clean up the INSIDE of the drawers to make them clean and pretty again! To me, that shows true craftsmanship! I was hoping you would put cute little legs on it! Did that ever cross your mind? I must say I am so in love with the beautiful paint finish you can achieve!! So sleek and soft!! You are gifted!! 🥰

Another great job, Katie. You and I have something in common. I find I can do some good work in the middle of the night. I'm a second-generation insomniac, and the first thing mom told me when we figured out I had it was to never stay in bed and toss and turn. Get up and do something constructive. It's worked for years. But - back to your project. I think it turned out very nicely. I noticed that you moved the top drawer back to its proper position in the rank. This is a perfect dresser for a pre-teener. A very nice save.

Great job repairing and restoring this piece and you are absolutely right: the many layers of paint suggest that, cheaply made though it might be, it's served a number of people for a number of years, and will continue to do so. I think it'll stand up nicely to a teenager's use as well!
