I own the zephyrus 17 from 2019 with 9750, 32gb ram and 2080 max-q. No complaints just a faulty fan you can check the video in my profile. Performance wise it's a beast cod modern warfare ultra settings without ray tracing 130-150 fps.

A comparison with the MSI GS66 would be awesome! They both share the same 300hz, 300 nits,100% sRGB pannel from what I understand? Are the speakers much better than on the MSI? Or are they both average? I suppose they are the same ones that are present on the new M15?

I've yet to review the GS66, should happen around early June and then I'll have a proper comparison between this, the Triton 500, the GS66 and the Blade 15 most likely around late June. I"m waiting to test them all before puting up that video

No camera or card reader is a deal breaker for me. Why are phone cameras getting better but laptops are getting more expensive with no camera its so stupid waiting for ryzen anyway.

For some people no camera is a godsend. I'd rather have a good optional camera than a horrible built in one. However I do agree a card reader should be included at this price. No ryzen is the biggest disappointment of 2020 high end laptops

Really dissapointed I expected more I mean 76wh?! Really?! Ig ill go with the alienware m15 r3 or the msi gs66 dont know which one to pick the msi is a loud machine with 99.99wh battery and the alienware has a vapor chamber so it should be quieter but it has an 86wh battery, idk why these high end laptops dont put a fingerprint scanner inside I mean the g14 has it why not the end s15?!

I don't get how a 90W 2060 is nearing the frames of a 115W 2070 in the S15 2019 model. Are these benchmarks accurate? It doesn't sync with most other benchmarks when compared to the tuf 2060.

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking about purchasing the S15 with Intel i7 with the RTX2070 super maxP which runs at 115W instead of the 2080maxQ you reviewed. I was thinking of the Strip Scar but the lack of thunderbolt and lack of Gsync is a fail. Would you say the 2070 super Max P in this laptop would be alright?

From what I have researched, the 2070 super 115W will be as good as the 2080 super max-q 90W in gaming permormance (maybe even better). And it's much cheaper so I'm buying that one. the 2080 version is more expensive, but should offer better thermals. I'd look into the 2070 Super 90W in the Zephyrus M15, that's a great performer with OK thermals at a lower price.
