High guard in several different styles.

We can see the high guard in karate, Muay Thai, mma and boxing. This is a very versatile technique that can be seen across the board. Many martial art styles use it. In my opinion, Karate tends to keep these techniques tucked away in kata because if they use it then Karate may resemble other styles too closely.
