Buffing your feet in feet bath at least twice a week like they do at a salon with a charcoal scrub with a sponge. Also gel cushion in the heel and slip guards at the bottom. Taking care of the feet and buffing them.

OMG I had this really bad experience where I decided that I was going to lotion my feet so that they looked pretty in my slingback heels and if you use foot lotion, you know how extra moisturizing they are. Boy did I regret it the minute I put my heels on. I tried wiping the lotion off with a napkin, but it didn’t work. Never again!

I have been wearing heels almost daily for years now and have found out that the only way to avoid pain and discomfort is to avoid cheap heels and only keep comfortable ones in your wardrobe. Heels are not the place to penny pinch! Any heels that aren't working out either go back or get tossed out immediately! You will not wear them. People ALWAYS ask me how I wear heels... literally most of my heels are far more comfortable than flats!

Ni Na, I agree with you but think it has to do more with quality than price. My mom gave me some very pricey shoes that I could only and painfully wear once. I have other sky-high stilettos that were on the more affordable price and feel better than all my others. So yes, I agree, it's important to stick to heels that feel comfortable from the get go, if after a few wears heels are still abusing your feet it's best to get rid of them no matter the price.

When I worked as a model, I would always carry pads with me because if I got shoes that were too big for walking on the runway, I would just stick the pads in the front part and there you go. Super easy and comfortable solution. There are also brands that sell adhesive protectors to not let blisters form, they're transparent and work better than band aids because the shoes usually can't rub them off. What I do is when I try on the shoes I'm going to use for a day out I check the parts where there's the most contact with my skin and already leave the house with those protectors taped on those areas. Works wonders! I really loved the idea of balancing the weight, I'm gonna try it out because the balls of my feet suffer a lot with high heels!

Try putting a bandaid inside the shoe too. Also, I use the clear bandaids and center it vertically on my heal (where I noticed she puts it horizontally. This will also help it stay on better. Hope that helps a little.

Rituparna Paul moleskin is a good option! Bandaids drive me crazy, but the moleskin is crazy adhesive. I do have trouble placing it right on the backs of my heels tho

Rituparna Paul if you have a tendency ton put lotion on your feet, put the bandais on first. The lotion prevents the bandaid from adhering. I seem to have to rig all of my shoes and prep my feet all the time. Its a shame, really.

Vaughnie NuNu that's not true. I might sound like a liar because I am a dancer and heels are a breeze for me, but what you're saying is wrong. If the shoes is well made and you are walking correctly it shouldn't hurt that fast. Most of friends are not dancers, so they don't have the flexibility or the strength that I have in their feet, and yet all of us together can be in heels for HOURS on end, and only get a little sore at the end of the night

For No.#8 Putting the Plaster over your heel helps stop a blister from hurting &/or pre-empts one from forming, but on the back of your heel it can look ugly and somewhat tacky. Stick a (preferably padded) Plaster to the inside of the blister pressure spot on the heel of your shoe. Same result but invisible!

Megan Gironda Thanks so much Megan, do all brands of that solid stick type deodorant work equally well? I use a Mitchum Roll-on (really strong anti-perspirant, unscented) that only recently started being offered in scented for girls & aerosol options, but I think Dove do a solid cream looking Stick. I stopped using sprays when I discovered that it was an ingredient in the spray that causes the staining & yellowing you sometimes get on the underarms of your clothes. You probably have different brands than here in the UK, but I will purchase some sort of stick type next time I go shopping, here's hoping I didn't dream up the Dove (3/4 moisturising ) stick deo, lol.😀 , it would be madness not to as you've now confirmed that it works for you !!. At 4:08 you can also use mole skin which is better because during the time you're wearing your shoes/heels A bandaid will slip off quicker due to the sweat and gets displaced and just a bandaid on the skin that hurts will still hurt because the little opening on most bandaids move and it will hurt because your shoe has made blister and new skin has been made which hurts the most especially on the heel. Mole skin is the best option to go because it's stays on longer for years. Plus your able to create a shape with the mole skin to fit your shoes/heels. And the heel of your foot is pain and you will never have to get a blister again. I use mole skin for my work shoes and other shoes/heels because they give blisters and I don't have to wear a bandaid anymore because the mole skin stays in place. I can wear those shoes forever! Also if your wanting to wear heels and your nylons keep slipping. go into your kitchen find a rubber band and slip it over your heel and place it at the opening of the nylon on your leg and then you won't have to keep hiking them up.

Another great tip for tight fitting leather shoes is to blow dry the tight areas while wearing thick socks & then standing on your toes in the shoes & back down again - repeat, repeat, repeat! Even just one shoe if one shoe fits & one doesn't 🙂

Lolol.. Shave with conditioner and not shaving cream. Also, don't rinse the razor with water while shaving.. It strips the built in conditioning strip much faster, instead flick the razor so as to clean the hair and conditioner out if it. Also ONLY SHAVE UP HALF WAY AT A TIME. so from ankle to shin, all the way around, the shin to knee, all the way around, then your knee, then knee to mid thigh, then thigh rest of way up.. That's VERY IMPORTANT because you will irritate the skin less

Putting something slippery on your toes while wearing heels it's not a good idea. I did it ones and that was it. My feet got sweaty and combined with the lotion my feet started moving up and down my heels and it was pain all the way from that.

Do not put lotion on your feet before you put on high heels. It will actually make your feet more susceptible to rashes. Its just like if u sweat too much and u get rashes because of the sweat with contact of the motion and force being applied to your skin. But you can also use gold bond foot power. That helps with sweating and itching and can help grip the bottom of the shoe.
