HIGH HEELS MODEL, BARN FIND MK1 FORD SIERRA, WILL IT START

Had this Sierra for 6 or 7 years now and never done anything with it. I decided that this years i was at least going to get the engine running to move it easier. my worst fears were true and the ignition did not work. Very difficult now to find any information on mid 80s ECUs and ignition systems. How did i get on?

Yes all original. All the glass and lights have the reg etched in to them. Dealer brochure is still in the glovebox 😀

So it was a broken wire to ecu then? And no modules in early ones then?

Yes pin 13 is fed from the same wire as the coil power if i remember. There is a break between the terminal and where the spur is. Have to strip the loom back to find the break next year. I would run a new cable but cannot get the pin out of the plug.
