I don't rechamber on purpose to bait people in sometimes
@SaikouKarate8 ай бұрын
When not done on purpose it can definitely be a good strategy💪🏻

in a real fight, do NOT risk kicking above the bladder and only rarely kick above the knee. You cannot kick with both feet on the ground and when you raise one foot, you have only HALF as much balance as you had before you lifted that foot. Kicks with the flat-top of the foot RARELY have the power/penetration needed to stop an attacker. It's difficult and time-consuming (ie, 6 months of daily practice) to curl your toes up and strike with the ball of the foot, but it's a MUCH more effective strike to the body/head than the same kick with the top/flat of the foot. . Kicks at the knee/shin are best done with the inside edge of the foot as the striking surface. Such edge of the foot/turned at an angle kicks are much less likely to miss than a front snap kick and hurt like HELL. The pain, loss of balance, etc caused by such impacts to the shin/knee distract/disable him. That then will let you do other things with your hands, head, elbows. It takes like 100 hours of careful training, ONLY on kicks, spread over 3-4 months, to become an adequately skilled kicker (below the floating-ribs). Almost nobody is skilled enough to kick at higher points on the opponent. That stuff takes many years of dedicated practice, LOOSE pants, proper shoes, nice floor surface.

Thank you for your comment! Generally (aside from specific cases with inappropriate clothing, ice-y surfaces etc), people who are practiced and can reliably execute high-kicks with good balance, should absolutely use them in self-defense. People for which those things do not hold true, however, should not be throwing high kicks. The ball of the foot is a good weapon yes, though the shin and top of the foot have their place too.

that's true , aside from balance and learning with witch part of are body to use for a kick or punch , we need to learn body placement aka knowing what part of the body to aim for when the time arises , many senseis don't teach that .
