@hubrisnaut4 жыл бұрын
@@zumbazumba1 There is plenty of information on the internet about making the more stable stable potassium perchlorate with an electrolytic cell. To make potassium nitrate you would have to make nitric acid from concentrated ammonia first. Not easy but it can be done with the right lab equipment. You can also make it in traditional ways by using animal dung or urine. Under the right conditions, the precursor can potentially be collected from aged farm animal urine and dung leavings and from bat or bird guano. The Wikipedia entry on it has a good overview of the various processes. All that said, you could just buy it in small amounts for use in hobby rockets.

Well then, the obvious question is what happens when you mix the two compounds together. The military compound is obviously a lot slower burning and produces much more smoke, so i'd be interested to see what happens, and whether it'll slow down the R-Candy significantly, or produce a massive amount of smoke due to being sped up by the candy. Or maybe it'll make something toxic enough to kill everyone downwind.
