Your KZbin channel is awesome. I stumbled upon it yesterday and binged 20 Videos. Really good explanation snd descriptions. Your reviews are spot on too me. I would like to see reviews from: RAAW, Canyon, Banshee, Deviate, Kavenz, ARC8, Marin, Atherton Bikes, …… And throw some Hardtails into the mix, maybe some less known Bikes like the British Stiff Squatch or Stanton bikes. Cheers. I really enjoy your content, thanx!

Thanks for the great reviews ! Have you tried the +10 29” dropouts on the dreadnought v2 ? Seems to be quite a few people racing them with the +10’s. Would be very interested in a break down of any differences you noted in configurations.

Good comparison, thanks! I just sold my 5010 and picked up the new Norco Sight (in mullet config) so I could try out some high pivot goodness. Only a few rides in so far, so still getting a feel for it.

@@NICADV Will do! Mostly struggling with the Lyrik that came on it. Does not feel like my previous one and even with no tokens, backed out compression it still feels harsh and not used nearly all the travel despite dropping the pressure (30mm or more not used on 160mm fork even after some solid hits). Will continue to work on it.

Almost need two categories of enduro bike now the "enduro bike for Bellingham/BC" and "enduro bike for everywhere else". I own a 2023 RM Altitude and find it's about perfect as an enduro bike that can be used as your only bike. I demoed the 2024 Altitude and while it definitely is slightly smoother through chunk than the 2023, it feels gigantic in comparison. I've yet to try a high pivot, here in Colorado it could be nice on our chunk, but the gigantic wheelbases and insanely steep HTAs on the high pivots are just nuts on all but maybe a handful of trails here.

I totally agree. One of the things that drew me to the Dreadnought was the rather conservative reach at 471, but the wheel base is still rather long. I've really like the Nomad out in CO, I think because it has a fairly short rear end compared to the way the industry is going. I rode the Chainsaw over Georgia Pass to Breckenridge and boy was that a slog. It handle the switchbacks and downhill okay, but was just heavy.

Great vid. Alot of riders end up sizing down with the Dreadnought, their enduro team for example. At 5'11 is there any thought that you would have liked to try an S2 over the S3? Cheers!

I wouldn't generally look at how pros run a bike to get a general picture of how it should be run. Enduro pros nearly always size down to the smallest frame size they can get away with because they value nimbleness over stability and they'll usually run 1-2 frame sizes smaller than a typical amateur would run.

Cool, was actually asking Nic this question however as at 5ft11 he is essentially directly between sizes and many riders at 5ft11 choose an S2(29er). Thanks though 😂
@NICADV15 сағат бұрын
Thanks, with the 450 reach I think the S2 would feel cramped. I'm on the MX option with a reach of 471. I'm usually riding bikes in between 470 and 485. It would also mean the saddle would be rather high and put a lot of weight on the rear wheel when climbing. I did size down on the Devinci Chainsaw but that reach is still 461.
