I can tell you that elimination of the air compressor just increased the value of your design exponentially. That is one big factor for a many customers. Plus one less hose to use and run into the unit. Keep up the great work fella and thank the internet Gods you found someone on the other side of the world as a customer. He got your gray matter between your ears creating. Keep up the great work NOBOX7

This is an incredible burner design, amazing control, super clean and only running a blower!

you should get some glass blowing glasses to protect your eyes long term. sunnies arent good enough and gas goggles are too dark for everyday work

Before you were using refractory as the hot face but now it looks like you’re using a different material for the nozzle. Will it hold up as well as the refractory? What about the design gives it so much control? Thanks for sharing.

Potter here. I'm interested in a simpler & cheaper alternative for my small propane kiln. Curious in a smaller version of this w/ drip feed waste oil & air blower. Your excitement is evident & contagious. Looking forward to your next version of this. Congratulations.

You also possibly get a solar lense, used to look at the sun. Blocks 99% of the light.

Technically you can avoid using an electric blower and that will be an excellent in stand alone systems. The only thing is though, in order to do that you will need to use a combination of Tesla turbine and Tesla pump ( basically Tesla turbine in the reverse ) on one shaft. With little divergence of heat from the output of the burner you can boil water and drive the turbine with the steam, the turbine drives the shaft of the pump and it pushes "compressed" air to the burning chimer. It will be interesting to push also, some steam to the burning chamber, to play with the level of H and O, but that will require additional optimization experiments.

When you build a smaller one will you be using a smaller blower? I’ve seen a few 12v blowers that push a lot of air, just wondering if that may be feasible on a down sized version

Do you sell the assembly for the fuel charge and control. I am most interested in the fuel control, I will be using used oil and need a way to control the feed. I do not want to use a gravity system as I don't feel it to be safe enough should there be a power failure. I want everything to shut down should the power fail.

I was wondering that myself. Try using a space blanket over the lens. It should block all but the brightest and most intense visible snd thermal light ray's. It's intensity will be drastically reduced and may even be able to seen that cone you were talking about.

@@NOBOX7 it could be worse I'm in California I want out bad in a real good position to but my wife is not ready to leave her family. and if I don't sell soon I feel like I'm going to be stuck for another 20 years. I realy would like to go to Alabama in the backwoods like near Lake Martin. probably end up in Utah I just want away from the boarder and from being taxed to death. but right now you should see all my neighbors eyes light up when I drag out my diesel pump from my garage and start filling up my truck. little that they know I'm paying half the price than the pump price. yep the government forced me to be a little bit of an outlaw by not providing me with the diesel fuel my truck requires to run on to make a million miles. if you own a diesel man. don't use diesel #2
