In this video, we are going to design high-pressure piping equipment especially for high-pressure pipe thickness calculation as per ASME B31.3. Hi, van you explain at min. 6:17 the result? By using the same value I obtain 0.374 in. Where is my mistake?

I wondering that why are you assume value of corrosion allowance - 0.125in? Is it any reason?

Corrosion allowance 0.125 is commonly used for carbon steel. Some engineer can assume other value of corrosion allowances such as 1.5 mm, 3 mm, 0.125", 5 mm
