Protein banana bread ingredients (makes 9 thick slices)
1/2 cup (118 ml) flour
1/2 cup (118ml) almond flour
2 scoops whey/casein blend protein powder
1 tsp (6g) cinnamon
1 tsp (6g) baking powder
2 large bananas (300 grams)
2 eggs
3/4 cup (177 ml) plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup (59 ml) sugar-free maple syrup
1 tsp (6g) vanilla extract
Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350° F (177° C)
Protein banana bread macros per slice: 154 calories / 15g carbs / 5g fat / 11g protein

Hey, mate! I made this recipe with a few adjustements that I think might be helpful. I used 1 tbsp of baking powder instead of 1 tsp, removed 1/2 tbsp of flour and added 1/2 tbsp of vital wheat gluten, 1/4 tbsp of dough conditioner and a splash of white vinegar to the dough. This makes the resulting bread fluffier. The white vinegar, besides improving the consistency, helps extend its shelf-life.

If you recommend using a scale then why use the vague, US only 'cup' measurements in the video 🤷🏼‍♂️

Will 1 cup of oat flower or whole wheat flower work? And would dark chocolate instead of maple syrup wor as well? Or would this change the texture and its ability to bind while baking? I dont bake, i have no idea what im doing, trying to branch out to have more control over my snacking and sweetooth.

You can substitute the flour. I'm not sure about the chocolate, sorry!

OK, it was so dry. We followed your recipe man. I don’t know if you have any other suggestions, but we even had to take it out halfway because the center part wasn’t cooked and covered the edges of the pan with foil on the edges of the tips, not all the way around, but still, I don’t even know if it’s edible 🦇😱 suggestions?

It's dry but not cooked in the center? Sorry to hear that. Were the bananas ripe enough? Did you use whey/casein blend?

It looks very dense unlike original banana bread! I dont think it wil be as good. Too many ingredients!

It's good but yes...nothing will taste as good as original banana bread loaded with butter and sugar.
