One of the best videos yet. I think 90% of the successful traders I know use a "market pulls you in" strategy like the one you described. It works great on higher time frames. Larry Connors and Linda Raschke mention this is Street Smarts. Thanks Jason.

YOU SHOULD USE "STOP LOSS" Because without stop loss, one single big move in the opposite direction can kill your account.

Things I do better now my risk management MOST be on spot on I have rules now, I must treat this like a business when I trade I only use the basics literally structure support resistance on the MN,weekly, Daily I write It on my board I write the trend and I use the Fibonacci retracment my favorite “king of indicators”I use fibs with structure and when I look for an entire I go to the H1 because it suits me best I’m comfortable with that style I enter only when the candle opens now I feel like having all these rules now narrows the amount of trades I will make and it is causing me to find the high probability trades which In reality all you have to do is wait for the move I’m just happy it’s all coming together i esteem you thanks🙏🏻

Also I feel like it’s getting to a point where I only want to do is buy limit sell limits buy stop and sell stops. I feel like no longer making a market execution trade. Am I on the right route ?

Don’t remember you trading channels, is this a new addition to your plan? Or just using the rising channel since it aligns with structure ? Cheers Jason

I'm currently looking at the EUR USD wondering if it will bounce back up from the lower end of the current range. I bet your gutted after seeing how far that trade sold off! But thats why it's so difficult to stick to the rules :D Wondering if that last low will create a double bottom bounce. Looking at other euro pairs it looks like the euro is set to drop in many other pairs, i'm thinking it will drop against the USD to around 1,123 and then pump up again. While the other euro pairs will drop a little and then rise up a little before finally dropping where at which point the USD will rally against the euro again. After that i guess it depends what happens to the indices markets vs the comms. vs the news (whatever the big banks decide that will be in the news\they can shape the news). Where do you place FOREX markets if indices and stocks go bearish after this period of volatility? How long could the volatility last and will the crash or bear market really kick in at some point in the future as volatility finally gives way to a sell off? It has to happen eventually but when is the question. Great vids!

What makes forex trading highly volatile and a risky bet?
@wesleyvan79316 жыл бұрын
Forex Trading is highly volatile because it has lot of buyers and selling globally. 80% of Forex trading happens just on prediction basis , mostly buyers and sellers anticipate each other predicting a favorable position of the market .
@TheArtOfTrading6 жыл бұрын
The simplest answer is 'not knowing what you're doing' haha. Traders accept total responsibility for their results, which is why they take their rules so seriously. The market isn't what is volatile, it is traders who are volatile. Volatility is really just a question of position size. What is volatile or risky to you may be of no concern to me. If you have 10 full contracts on the S&P500 and I have 1 micro contract, and the market becomes extremely 'volatile' like it did recently, then I'm chilling while you're freaking out getting margin calls and cursing the market's "volatility" when really, it was your decision to max out your leverage that created the volatility in your P&L. Leverage is probably the biggest cause of fear of volatility in forex. If you have high leverage and use big position sizes you can wipe your account out in seconds even if it's tens of thousands of dollars. Or through over-trading with no edge (gambling) etc. But as I said, you would have to not know (or care) what you are doing for that to happen. A trader who knows what they are doing in fact thrives on market volatility. Volatility is a trader's best friend, not enemy, once they have confidence in their edge and proper risk management in place :) “To whatever degree you lack confidence, you will experience fear. The irony is, you will be afraid of random, inconsistent results, without realizing that your random, inconsistent approach is creating exactly what you are afraid of.” - Mark Douglas

Volatility is different from market to market and is often news driven. There are high and low volatility currency pairs. Just remember though the markets spend 70-80% of the time doing very little. It is all about knowing when they're gonna move. As for risky. Everything is risky without a plan, even crossing the road.😀
