Good for you for stepping up to the plate and taking care of your daughter. 👏So she won't be tossed into the unknown foster care system. I've heard such horror stories. That guy is living my life. Same thing happened to him happened to me. My daughter mom died and I got custody. Had her for 14 years. She is 17 now. Rv full time for 4 years. Hard to Rv with a teen. This guy will have it easier than I did because his daughter is young and naive to stereotypes. She wont care as long as dad is there. When doing it with a teen they are mindful of their image etc. That was stressful for me because it was the only option I had to put a roof over our heads and I had a whiny teen girl. My unit was a 42 ft diesel pusher and it was decked out nicely. I made sure got us a nice clean remodeled unit. And for a teen it still wasn’t enough not to mention I gave my daughter the master bedroom. Still complained. 3year olds won’t complain so at least he’ll sleep at night 🤣. Jason, may the Lord Bless you continually in your journey. I’m 35 and have never been in your situation or anything like it but it has shown me a lot and has encouraged me to never let myself down; to believe more in myself if I really wanna do better and just really make a situation work for me. Thank you and thank this channel 💪🏽 Love from DC

There was the girl named Ashley at the bus stop, who made fun of me for not having enough pants in my wardrobe in the 7th grade. Then there was the kid that I was assigned a locker right next to who would slam me into my locker and tell me I was a fat hippo, when he was twice my size (6th grade)… then when I was in the 5th grade, I was bullied for being white. By a girl name, Charlene. Riiiiiight. “Kids don’t remember.” I’m 35. I’m not a child anymore.

I would keep the original Fridge, AC , Microwave, Tv, etc that are good and working. They were built tough to withstand the rigours of the road. Ordinary household appliances in RVs fail pretty quickly. Spend money on enough solar capacity instead. All The Best.

People's actions in the past often come back to them. I believe what people do in their lives, good or bad, affect their futures. Climbing out of one's past is often long. I also want to say, "Big Super Living In Arizona person," thank you for sharing this. I'm learning a lot about life in America, regarding other people's struggles and hardships, and equality. I experience life with difficulty, but I have some things better than many. I've been seeing my life through my own lenses. I have very little, but I know many others have less. I am humbled.

I know exactly what you are talking about, my husband and I went to a Pasta Mamas dinner night for the football team here in Minnesota at the school, it was all voluntary to help make food and set up tables, it was very very awkward, those snobby Mothers kept to their click, we tried making small talk but they chatted among themselves only. I told my husband I would NEVER do that again. I was a new stepmom trying to do my best at being supportive as the Mother of his children ran off along time ago. It also taught me to be that much more inclusive with others. This man is courageous for everything he is doing, I hope he gets lots of help and donations his way to help with the support of his Daughter and to help fix up his RV.

Truth is it’s getting worse. Now campgrounds and yearly spots to put your camper are raising prices. It doesn’t matter how you do it. Only way to beat this situation is owning land that will allow you live in your camper. Even that is getting hard to find because States won’t gain big tax money on a campers so they zone out all property not allowing campers to live in. Greed is killing America!

Truly a story of hard knocks, That RV has enough room to turn it into a very comfortable home with a bit of reno and imagination to create a base for a decent life! 7 grand is a great deal if most things work, skip the generator and use the money to go straight to solar and lfp batteries especially in Arizona with lots of sun, more money up front but it will pay for itself in about 3 years and then its free silent power for the next 15/20 years which will be one less reason for neighbours to hassle you over.

This is a good place to start and at least you're doing your best to keep a roof over your daughter head. I watch this show called Going RV, and people are buying and living in RVs because they can save money on rent, mortgage and property taxes. The most important thing is how you have opened your heart to your daughter, you two are lucky to have each other, continue being the best version of yourself for her and you.

I really appreciate your content! More people really need to open their eyes and see just how real the struggle is in america in 2023, and going forward into 2024. I was really interested in this particular video because your interviewee started off by saying he was making $200,000 a year and now he's living out of a $7,000 RV. Not that I don't appreciate the interview, but I would just love to hear more back-story on how Jason went from making 200K a year to the situation he's in now.
