Kudos STP w/Chester. I grew up with STP as many have, and I'm a hard core Scott fan as many are. I think the music Rob, Dean, Eric and Chester are making together just totally rocks. Considering all the monumental challenges all these musicians have endured...I'm glad the lot of them are alive and continuing to produce music to start with. I think he music feels and sounds right. I hope they continue to create and produce and share as much as possible. Long live STP

Scott is an awesome singer (even though he doesn't sound as good as he did anymore... just don't do drugs people..) and I loved him with STP. Sucks he left STP but Chester seems to do a pretty good job! He also sounds a bit similar to Scott so it wont be a big of a change. Can't wait to hear all the new stuff :)

Both Scott and Chester were both amazing vocalist and front men. I get that chester wasnt Scott, but he still sounded amazing in my humble opinion and was the next best thing to Scott himself. I wish they could have settled their differences as much as anyone else though bc I loved Stp with Scott. I didn't blame them however for wanting to move forward. If you worked very hard for over 20 years on something, would you let one guy (Scott) and their personal issues end it for you? That was the way they fed their families, their passion, and was as much there's as it was Scotts. As great of a front man as Scott was (and he was one of the best of all time) he had a lot of issues, a large ego, and drug problems that caused his riffs with both STP and Velvet Revolver. It's not a coincidence all the other guys in both those bands were on one side and he was on the other. If you listen to each band talk about their split from him.... same exact story. In the end, drugs heavily affected his voice and the way he performed as well. It sucks bc he was an amazing talent. it's very sad both are gone really and they both brought something unique and irreplaceable to the table with the band's they were in.

this band was back...like really back, not like most bands where they get a new singer n something just feels different or off, n i didnt get that feel with STP and chester, which is just rare for me they actually kicked ass, and honestly army of anyone was also a great piece of art, it wasnt off i wasnt missing weiland, i really still like that album, but they know what they want in a frontman u can tell....great great band of talented musicians

Listen to their S/T 2010 album and research all the negativity Scott brought to those recording sessions and the ensuing tour. I give all the credit in the world to the Deleo bros for moving forward with an artist who won't bring them down. Rob and Dean ARE the creative force behind STP.

STP was one of my favorite bands and I don't disagree that he is a great replacement. I'm kind of reminded (lightly) of the transition of Paul Rodgers to Brian Howe in Bad Company. Granted, they are miles apart in talent and influence, but it's a pretty similar scenario.
