I decided I wanted to learn to play D&D so I started listening to this podcast. This was my first D&D experience ever. That was early August and I just caught up today. I've listened to 4 years of Mark describe Aerois in 2 months. Great job Mark (and everyone). Thank you for being so inspirational with your story telling. My kids (10 and 7) have also gotten interested because of your podcast and now have me trying to DM for them. :)

As a DM I love Mark's style, he is truly a skilled artist and Godhead. Just some friendly advice. Rome wasn't built in a day, most DM's over prepare in their first campaign. Don't stress it. Everyone learns more no matter how long you play. Just have fun.

The appearance of Zam Zim Zimbaloo absolutely made this episode for me. Mark came up with him in Rogue’s Gambit after the player’s shenanigans and nonsense pushed him over the edge. Seeing him appear here is so perfect given the level of silliness in this episode - Mark reaching his tipping point into madness again. LOVE HIGH ROLLERS. NEVER CHANGE.

I loved this for so many reasons. Never change High Rollers into something hyper-professional & serious! It is exactly those moments of above-the-table shenanigans and friendship and laughs that set you apart. Dropping little jokes for each other. The true d&d homegame experience! It just feels lovely seeing a bunch of friends having so much fun. (The serious stuff is also fantastic bte, but less of a unique selling point! Other streams also do that very well too...)

There is a case to be made that the Chest of Preserving should be a Necromancy school magic item. After all, the effect is equal to that of the Necromancy spell Gentle Repose. Chest of Preserving preserves "Food and other perishables", while Gentle Repose preserves "Corpses and other remains". What is food but corpses of animals and plants?

The regular Star Destroyers are generally referred to as Imperial-class. This may have been a retcon as the first Star Destroyer to appear in the film was Vader's Devastator. The standard Super Star Destroyers (aka Star Dreadnought) are Executor-class. For a commoner in most D&D settings, 25 gold is months' worth of savings. Think about it: You can get basic food items like beer, bread, soup, etc. for a few coppers. Housing costs silvers per day - according to the official 5e rules, consuming 2 silvers per day is a "poor" lifestyle, which is what most commoners (laborers, mercenaries, petty merchants) fall into. So imagine making, say, 3 silvers per day working at a farmstead or a smithy or a store. You spend two of them. You'll take 10 days to save up a gold. In a year, you save 36. So a 25g chest for a 5e commoner would be like me buying a gaming rig. It better be a nice chest!

Lucius can cast wish so why can’t he just turn a piece of furniture into an admiral they need? He uses the spell polymorph and mark can make him do a int check. DC 13, but anything higher then 13 can create a really good and badass admiral

@@Blasted2Oblivion He has 9th level slots. He can just cast Wish with that, but that kind of wish isn't capable of casting True Polymorph which is what would be needed to transform a chair into an Admiral permanently. Could've learned it though
