And he beats crime in rival to the mystical Moonstar! Like Catwoman and Batman. And Quill is the one-winged, Bird Wonder, Robin! Nova is the techno Oracle and Sentry is Alfred. Or Ayla is Alfred because she can kick Lucius's butt, and Sentry is the Batmobile! Best timeline ever!

Mark maybe something to keep in mind after the first explanation. The only thing besides the double dice of the crit the second thing about a natural 20 is that the attack hits no matter the modifier, even with a minus 200 the attack will hit regardless

A natural 20 on the die is a critical success. It is an attack that always hits, irregardless of modifiers. A natural 1 on the die is an critical failure, an attack that always misses irregardless of modifiers. Any other dice roll has the potential to hit or miss based on AC and modifiers but is not a crit unless a class features changes the crit range. But in order to crit, the natural dice roll must meet the number without modifiers (bless spell, enchanted weapons, etc.). Modifiers from spells or otherwise can't make something a crit if the natural die roll isn't a crit.

Well, moonstar could still be Lucius' sister and that kind of makes her Batgirl. She's already an active vigilante who even thinks and talks like Batman and parents are dead. We haven't really heard much about her, it was mostly about the parents. Now that everybody thinks she also died, she does not have to keep the Edea persona and go all out as moonstar. Also isn't it quite typical for heroes to say sometimes they are close with their normal self. All that or she just had a secret girlfriend who is also a vigilante.

So I don't know if this was because you don't know or you're using other rules but the PHB defines a critical hit as being a natural 20 only, with the exception of features that expressly expand that range to 19 or 18 as well, such as said Hexblade's Curse, or Fighter: Champion. And as such, if you roll a natural 20, you automatically hit, regardless of if the number beats the AC. Bane reducing the number would not affect a natural 20. And similarly if you roll a 16, but you have +4, that doesn't increase the natural roll either, so flat bonuses to hit will never bump you up to a critical hit. (For reference see pg. 194 of the PHB. Making an Attack >>> Attack Rolls >>> Rolling 1 or 20)

Nothing too fancy, but not too weak given their level I feel. 11d6 maxed = 66 11d6 rolled = average 38 (38.5 but lets keep it to real dice numbers) dex bonus = 5 weapon bonus = 2 total = 111 assumed failed save = x2 to all damage new total = 222 Here's the fun part though.... Redemption Paladin is nearby. Uses Rebuke the violent. Assume rogue fails save... Rebuke damage = 111 Average rogue hp at lv20 = 103 (not including con modifier) The rogue pretty much killed himself xD

People contend that bane/bless can negate/bump up to a critical? It doesn't change the number rolled on the d20. The rules state "when the result of your d20 roll is a 20, it is a critical hit". And a critical always hits even if the modifiers would make it not meet the target's AC

Make the ship 'appear' to have a mind of its own and capable of interacting with others like a smart ship, not move or do ship functions on its own, more like it can 'talk' or ring its own bell. Heck maybe if its allowed have the ship be part of its own crew then it would be able to do things on its own, just roleplay and say 'build a system that allows the ship to be somewhat sentient or its capable of maintaining or defending itself' and say you still use gold to get resources to maintain that system.
