@@o.d.d.792 you can't use Portend after the dice are rolled anyway, RAW. Tom used it 100% correctly: he declared that the die result was a 5 before any dice were rolled, which is how Portend works. It doesn't interact with advantage or disadvantage.

FYI, the ruling on Portent is extremely vague and Marks ruling made sense at the time. However, we later checked it out and confirmed it is your version and will go back on that rule.

This was a good one. Seen some theories in the comments, that seems to make sense and aligned with things I was already thinking. Feel weird on the portent call later but didn't like their ruling on portent on knowing after what the roll was since that isn't how it should work. But fast rolls makes it hard to do it by RAW either way with quick announcements too but makes sense since they on limited time too. So eh? Other random comment, Mark more than likely looked it up later or Kim. But Hex Warrior from Hexblade only allows weapons that aren't two-handed. Pact of the Blade later allows anything. Not having proficiency in any weapon doesn't really matter at least in this edition. Just means you don't apply your proficiency bonus. Or if you aren't a size category small. Since they cannot use weapons with the Heavy Property without disadvantage. Though it would be a funny moment of Nova using a Greatsword and somehow hits with it but deals 0 damage if she rolls two 1s, minus 2 due to her Strength score. Since there is no minimum damage in this edition which in rare instances can create 0 damage to raging Barbarians if something hits them for only 1 point of damage, since you are supposed to round damage down. Last bit, this is more to anyone that bothers to read this. Since I cannot remember, what is the wand supposed to do for Sentry? Since I swore it was just like a force wake-up button on Sentry if she is in a dream state. Since Tom said it wasn't a wand moment when Sentry was running off earlier. So, if it isn't that what is the wand supposed to do? Either way cannot wait till Sunday even if I can never watch fully live and either watch the VOD later or just wait till it is on KZbin.

It's an emergency Anti-feral wand, at the time she was running off, Sentry was closer to being stable than to going feral. A more suitable situation would if Sentry were to randomly shut down, stop recognising the crew as the crew (for example Lucius becomes a Solwyn Noble or Nova becomes the Princess) or she goes completely berserk and starts to flame lance everything.

I'm pretty sure hex weapons can't have the heavy property. Also it's fine to do in your game but if youre going direct rules it's pact of the blade that allows your weapon to absorb other magic weapons, not hexblade. Unless she changed to pact weapon after she ripped those pages from her book
