Also seeing this live was the highlight of i62... though Lewis' dancing performance was a close second. It was my first ever Insomnia too, and you guys made it super special. I wanted to say so much at the signing but I was nervous and I didn't want to hold up the line, but thanks for High Rollers. Had no clue about dnd before I watched, and now I'm in 3 games a week. All of you were super friendly and sweet to meet and the live show was the end to a fantastic weekend all round.

Material components get used, divine/arcane focus don't. Or at least that's how it worked in 3.5, I would guess it's the same in 5E. That's why wizards have big bags of spell components even when they have like 5 spells known.

Chrysanthus I think that they don't, because spells like revivify say "diamonds worth 300gp, which the spell consumes" Since Invisibility doesn't say, the amber is included in the component pouch, the alternative to the focus, and doesn't get consumed

As I said, I don't know if 5 Edition changed it, but in 3.5 material components get used. Now, buying a component pouch means that you always have the material in your bag, so wizards don't need to track every single piece of component. As for spells like Revivify, they say specifically that they use an expensive component, listing how much it's worth and remembering the player that they get used, in contrast with some other spells that list the spell focus (like a crystal ball for some divination spells), with it's cost and again remembering the players that they don't get used.

In 5e, only components that specifically state they are consumed are consumed. As per the PHB, and further clarified by sage advice.

Oh, thank you for the clarification. Then, if I'm not mistaken, all material components are what we called before (3.5 edition) arcane/divine focuses and only those who the book specifies are the ones which are consumed (therefore, they are what we called materials), right?

Are these character sheets wrong? They were level 13 as of their first fight with Thunderfang. I'm sure something, their proficiency or a spell that functioned based on character level, perhaps the mention of Cam's divine intervention or something, showed that they were level 13
