Rewatching the campaign after a while, and what hit me in the feels most this episode was Lady Amy’s sorrow of breaking her oath. Decades long promise of pacifism thrown away to save a city of almost perfect strangers, but also a new found love. It wasn’t even a promise she HAD to make, that’s the worst part. Beautifully tragic.

mustafa geldiev I would argue that dragons become pretty common foes at higher levels. Check out critical role and how many dragons they fought. So if you find a dragon slaying sword, you keep it. Like percy did, even though he was a ranged attack focused character.

Spoilers......... . . . . Greatest last words of all time from Trell. 2:21:30 / 2:21:56 "F*** it"shoutouts to the best warlock play of all time. Make a pact and sacrifice my soul? "F*** it, yeah I do it"the disregard for his own soul, to just dive in at the deep end to help his allies. I think this is the greatest character moment in this whole campaign.

I know it's not gonna happen, but if the guys ever wanted to revisit these characters after the campaign wraps, a trek to the Nine Hells to save Trell's immortal soul would make an amazing epic-level one-shot. I can't stop imaging a time skip followed by Trell's old patron beseeching the team with a plan to get him back. He never approached them before because it was out-and-out suicide rather than just probable suicide.

Kinda feel it was a little harsh to not let Cam try and banish the demon before Trell's pact completed. He did specifically state if he saw any movement towards a pact being created he would use the spell. I feel Trell shouting "fuck it" and raising a knife to his hand is enough of a prompt.

That was when cam tried to banish, the pact took a slash with a knife, which can be done very quickly

Either way, since she succeeded in the save, Trell's pact would have still activated even if the Banishment had gone first. And like MegaBluecrest said, the pact only takes a slash of the knife to solidify it, so there wasn't a lot of time for Cam to cast a full VSM spell.

It makes me really sad that they're ending the campaign after this. There are so many more important story threads that they can follow not only with Trellimar gone but with Bresseras and the recovery of the Dawn Republic and uncovering the mysteries of the light fall.

Doubtful as his previous patron was weak due to his isolation, they could in theory as Mark said break the contract somehow and restore Trell, but it depends on if they ever see him and figure out it's Trell, chances are Mark will do something and give them a chance.

With this, the current unemployment and the binge watching I am finally current with this campaign. Next time I decide to binge watch nearly three hundred hours of D&D, counting Uncharted Territory and Dead Reckoning along with a couple Christmas episodes here and there, I will need to reevaluate my life. While watching more High Rollers. I feel it's the only logical path to take. To be fair they have inspired a desire to play this game within me that I never knew I possessed. Still trying to get some people together for the first campaign I will ever do but it is difficult to get people to join even if they express interest, they say they have a "life". It sounds cancerous. But in all seriousness High Rollers HAS inspired me to give D&D a shot. Had a friend immediately jump on board to be the DM and another who jumped in as a player. The DM wants at least four people to play, an excluding my friend who jumped in immediately and myself three other people were filling out character sheets, even with their busy work schedules. I am looking forward to my first session with my friends whenever that may be so long as they don't bog themselves down by having to much to do.

Find out if there's an adventurer's league near you. It's a "free to join" D&D-day, for players of all levels. I heard of them, but the last one in my country was in 2016, and none since... I think America has more of them, and they might be more commonplace in the UK as well...

Consider trying Roll20, because buying all of the dnd equipment IRL is really expensive, the 3 core books are $50 each, and the spell cards are $20 each. Theres like 9 decks total. Plus each miniature booster pack is $15. Accessories like a grid map and water soluble markers are around $25 each. By the time you have everything set up, you've spent upwards of $300. Online DND is easier sometimes.

The books are the big bit, everything else is not really important. We play with a grid map and some pens. Some people have spell cards, but they aren't needed, minis are not needed in any way, we just use cardboard squares instead.

Really surprised that wasn't caught. You'd think with Matt coming back after so much time and needing to level up so much to reflect the passage of time (clearly a higher level than when he left), Mark would have worked with him like with the other players but especially since Matt hasn't played for awhile and has a LOT to catch up character wise. That discrepancy resulted in a couple successful saves that should have failed.

Dark Days for the republic. Dispell magic on the Ship its inloy 120 feet and i'm not sure if the rules allow for it to take the whole ship down because its probably longer then 120 feet, but maybe it will start to drift towards the ground. sure would be nice if someone had thought to bring hallow with their fire arms... spoilers below that said that was very suspenseful i i could tell trell was gonna make the pact from the thumbnail but the part where Jiutou was considering it was pretty scary given all she went through with Crownrend. Most of what came after was almost tear inducing Poor Amarilith and trixania seem really shaken up. also add a save trell arc? Maybe on the way to Bressaris?
