Actually yeah, they had a bigger budget because HSM3 was an ACTUAL Disney Movie, not a Disney CHANNEL movie.

Nancy Dor the first two high school musical movies released on Disney Channel, therefore it had a smaller budget. The third movie was released in theaters, so it had a considerably larger budget. The larger the budget, the more they can spend on making the movie.

There’s very little character growth across all three movies. Troy is conflicted each time, usually losing Gabriella due to miscommunication and getting her back at the end of the movie. Senior Year is the first time Chad and the Wildcats don’t get mad at the way Troy is splitting his time. Gabriella has no independent character arc. Sharpay will be the entitled drama queen who learns to be humble, only to be drama queen by the next movie. By the end of the last movie the recurring issues aren’t resolved.

Descendents is a better trilogy because they have stronger characters, storylines, a book series and a cartoon series to expand the story even further than the movies.
@lovealexxxx34915 жыл бұрын
Well it does take place in high school. No one really has that much character development. The trilogy is as wild as anybody’s teens years.
@kbraven70075 жыл бұрын
@@lovealexxxx3491 But that doesn't mean they can't have an over arcing story just because they are teenagers. Look at Teen titans (2003), Descendants, Harry Potter, Teenage mutant ninja turtles (2012), Spiderman and to an extent Miraculous Ladybug, Tangled the series and Equestrian Girls(for Sunset shimmer's side.) Since you get to see the charecters grow and develop over the course of the series. Being a teenager is the time for you to discover who you are and not everybody is or was a wild carefree party animal. Plus not too mention, the trilogy is basically the same story every single time, part of good writting is to create a good story and have the charecters grow throughout the story. Not the crappy story that the movies keep giving us that is annoying and predictable.
@lovealexxxx34914 жыл бұрын
KB Raven all I’m gonna say to that is that everyone is different. Some teen girls don’t grow as much mentally and they will read stories and watch movies or tv shows w the same plot because they’re obsessed. I used to be that way but at the same time different because I grew out of it in my teen years. But I still understand that thinking. There are so much teen girls who are obsessed with this kind of plot and it never gets old. They like the plots where a character has to choose between two other characters, or something else of the clicheness that pertains to their insecurity. The girl character has to be pretty maybe even unrealistically pretty and has to in some way be better than an average teen girl like having magical powers, living at a bordering school w no parents, being new or nerdy and going through this drastic change that makes everyone in school love them. It almost always has to be taken place at a school. Not everyone grows out this behavior when they become an adult. Like when a guy has a preference for a girl that would pertain to his insecurity and that exact issue follows him probably until he’s old and his second wife is so confused as to why he’s cheated on her AGAIN. Everyone develops at their own paces and movies don’t actually have to be a certain way because people in real life go through this and it just shows up in their work. Obviously a bunch of other younger people like it and if it had a higher age requirement, some adults would like this exact plot with no development as well

When I was in school, people would always say to enjoy school while it lasted because once you graduated, you’d miss it and realise that it was the best years of your life. +Broadway Trashcan yeah, I remember people telling that me, all the while also saying how I'd never survive in the 'real world'. I must resist the urge to contact them and rub their noises in how wrong they were xD My biggest issue with school was that a teacher's word was treated as absolute, and proving the teacher wrong was some kind of terrible crime. In my line of work you can, and should, say if something looks like a mistake if it is a mistake. Worst case scenario you'll be corrected (no big deal and it will help you learn) best case scenario you spot a problem before it can bite you in the backside later. It should be taught that its ok to be wrong, so long as you learn from it. But teachers don't lead by example.

They cut it out of the movie, but it may be in the extended version or deleted scenes. They did the same thing in HSM 2 with Sharpay (and Ryan (with background dancers?)) and her performance of, and I hope I spell this right... "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" There was also a scene in HSM 2 they cut out where Taylor went to talk to Gabriella and, I think, try to convince her to go back and perform in the show. Instead they just have her come in after having her leave/quit/sing "I gotta go my own way" and sing "Everyday" with Troy.

@aliciahofstetter17696 жыл бұрын
When I was in highs school (20 years ago) IF you had the credits and met certain requirements (passing the state and US constitution tests usually done freshman and sophomore years respectively) you could graduate early, typically at the end of first semester. Also my high school would offer/allow certain college credits to stand in for high school credits. If memory serves.
