I remember those days. Boys wore short shorts and cropped shirts and no one called them gay. It was a time of arcade games that were fun but not too addictive snd of good quality movies with real plots. It was a time of bookstores and endless summers of outdoor sports and games. It was a time when litigiousness was very limited, when you got to keep most of the money you made, and college tuition costs were rising but still quite low. Student debt was a problem but far less so than today and you actually got a real education at colleges and skills for work. It was a patriotic time when the police and military were respected. There were no feral hordes of mindless violent young people destroying cities. America was a laid back place, a great place to raise kids. Today it's an unhealthy place to raise kids and life is nervous and paranoid.

Us boys back in the late 60s and early 70s wore short shorts and then the boys who were the coolest and most athletic rolled their short shorts up some more! Just a few years back I rolled up a pair of long shorts I was wearing to make them shorter but then the teenage son of one of my friends informed me that rolling up my shorts made me look gay!

@@johnblaesel5493 There does seem to be a movement back in the direction of how it was in the 60s and 70s. I've noticed that some high school and college boys basketball teams now have as their uniforms shorter, tighter shorts that look much better than the rubbish bags they've been wearing since about '89. And apparently some of them roll up their shorts too.

Watch at 1:22 of the video a kid wearing blue short shorts and a tight short red t-shirt I wish they would bring that style all the way back this is more decent then the stupid ass style of clothing that we have today. Everything was not beggy and long back then style today needs to go back to this here 1:22 of the video becuse of what we have today is a peice a shit clothing that only idiots would wear.

I too wish I could go back to the 70s and even the 60s. I still remember a time when we would travel out of town for a few days or what ever. We didnt even have to lock our doors. Neighbors watched out for each other and not in a all up in your business type of way. The country wasnt paranoid even though we were dealing with the Viet Nam war. Today is a world of paranoia,, no trust in each other anymore. its just a horrible place and time.

Those we're the days and not being called gay because of the clothing you wore. Everyone wore them. Half shirts showed off, but almost cooled you off on hot days. One thing about style, it has a way of bringing back the former with a modern twist.
