Gorgeous trailer, i dread a muddy tracks machine climbing on to it with gravel and stones stuck to the tracks. I bought a new lowloader about ten years ago, first day out on hire the guys track machine was covered in mud and stones, it took the new look off her fairly fast.

Totally agree that they are a serious bit of kit but you can still be 31 tonnes gross so by the time you have a big tractor to pull it then the weight of the low loader you will be lucky to fit a wheel barrow on the back before your up to your limit.

Rules are different in Ireland tho. A triaxle provided it meets certain requirements is legal at 34tonnes behind the tractor. Same as the big triaxle silage trailers.

What do you guys understand under the Term "positive steering" ist it just the good old friction steering?

Positive steering would be forced steering via a secondary steering bar. Which pulls or pushes a ram forcing the wheels to steer. Passive steering is the friction turning your talking about.
