theres maybe a little doppler effect involved too. remember the train ins coming with about 300kmh in your direction, it "squishes" the airwaves of the hown. so the sound of the hown appears much higher then it actually is.

Up to 4% on the Cologne-Frankfurt line, but that's an exception. Some ICEs can only handle up to 3,5% so that's usually the max

Betonierte Gleise, das haben sie bei uns auch gemacht. Jetzt duerfen bei uns die ICE auch 300 fahren. Sehr tolles Viedeo. Aber die Wetterauswahl ist nicht besonders. Aber durch den Regen sieht man die Geschwiendigkeit in der ferne. Bitte mehr davon

the boom appears when the train enters the the other tunnel entry! so it is the time between entry (boom) and exit of train that you measure.

Coincidence. The boom is caused by the train coming from the far end of the tunnel.

Bin echt überrascht, wie früh der Lokführer dich gesehen hat! Bei 1:42 schaltet er ja schon das "Fernlicht " ein! Bis zum Pfiff vergehen noch ca. 10 Sekunden! Bei einer angenommenen Geschwindigkeit von nur 250 Km/h wären das 700 Meter bis zu deinem Standort gewesen! Bist du da mit Biene Maja- Köstüm gestanden? Klasse Video!

Richtig, das ist die andere seite des Kindinger Tunnels. Die vier Gleiße täuschen nicht, denn am Kindinger Bahnhof gibt's zwei “Haltegleiße“. Ich denke diese werden auch als Wartegleiße benutzt, wenn ein ICE überholt. Grüße aus dem südlichsten Mittelfranken :) Bei uns gibt's nicht nur flotte Züge und donnernde Tunnel, sondern auch sehr feine Biere ;)

It happens because all the air gets trapped in front of the train and when it comes out it sounds like a sonic boom some countries have fixed this issue by lengthening the tunnel slightly and putting big holes in the roof of the extension

The horn only sounds like that because of the high speed, look up Doppler effect. It's the same as with ambulances just exaggerated

ICE 3 ist irgendwie hässlich. find den ICE 1 und 2 irgendwie designmäßig am besten. aber lol das horn ist echt nen witz. also ich würd nicht annehmen das es von einer bahn kommt. das sollten die mal schleunigst ändern! da ist ne straßenbahn ja aggressiver mit gebimmel!
