Trooper's Edited Narrative:
On 5/20/2023 at 3:21 PM I, Trooper Jackson Shumate #242, initiated a traffic stop on a black GMC Sierra bearing Arkansas
License Plate #175YXC at US Highway 67 South at the 3 mile marker along with Trooper T. Van Schoyck and Trooper A.
Escamilla.
The vehicle was known to be driven by Arrested Person Christopher Monroe, who was wanted for drug traffic
charges out of Sherwood PD. He also had an another active warrant out of Rockwall County, Texas for Evading in a Motor
Vehicle, entered just ten days prior. Arrested Person Monroe had fled from the Arkansas State Police on 05/04/2023 and on
05/19/2023. Trooper A. Escamilla drove beside the vehicle and confirmed that Arrested Person Monroe was driving. Due to
Arrested Person Monroe's criminal history and fleeing history, we attempted to box him in to prevent him from being able to flee
and become a danger to the public. However, Arrested Person Monroe was able to maneuver out of the box and rammed into
Trooper A. Escamilla's patrol vehicle as she attempted to block him with her vehicle. He then began to flee the scene.
Trooper T. Van Schoyck took primary in the pursuit and immediately attempted a TVI (Tactical Vehicle Intervention) on
Arrested Person Monroe's vehicle. The TVI was ineffective and caused Trooper T. Van Schoyck to spin out. I then took primary
in the pursuit.
Throughout the pursuit, Arrested Person Monroe drove in a reckless manner that showed no regard for the public's safety.
Sgt. Briggs performed a TVI, which flipped the vehicle over. The following was found:
64 grams of ecstasy
100 grams of meth
436 grams of cocaine
89 grams of fentanyl pills
182 grams of marijuana
12 grams heroin
46 grams of Xanax
$8,612 in cash
Taurus handgun
Various drug paraphernalia
Charges include:
Trafficking fentanyl
Trafficking cocaine
Possession with purpose to deliver ecstasy
Possession with purpose to deliver heroin
Possession with purpose to deliver meth
Possession with purpose to deliver cocaine
Possession with purpose to deliver marijuana
Possession with purpose to deliver Xanax
Felony Fleeing

One other point o I’ll share with you it’s these people who are the first to call the police when someone is attacking them or breaking into there homes- hypocritesx100!

I live in Arkansas. I will say with ZERO doubt that Arkansas state police and Texas State Police are 2 departments I would NEVER try to run from. Most of Arkansas' Chargers will run 150 MPH now. The Tahoe's will run 130-135 but those are 3 tons of truck to try get slowed down in a hurry. Hell, the Charger brakes will start to fade if it is an in-town pursuit. Hazen Police department in Arkansas siezed a 392 Scat pack. That sumbeech will run 170+. And ONLY the Chief of Hazen PD is allowed to drive it. His son is a State Trooper assigned to work near his Dad's town. So you know Pops aint gonna play any bullshit games if he gets a call to come help!

Sure it's very entertaining to watch, like a movie. But in reality the police caused a high speed chase that put hundreds of lives in danger. In many real cases innocent people have been killed. All this because what? Because he's a drug dealer but drugs should be legalized anyway. Think about it: do you want this to happen when you are driving on the road or walking in your neighborhood? The police were actually causing this criminal to race along residential streets at 90 mph. SMH. Unbelievably dangerous. Far more dangerous than letting the guy go. What would happen if he got away? The police would catch him later, probably the same day. This is all about the cops playing the hero. High speed pursuits should not be allowed except for certain extreme cases, such as a known killer on the run.

@@RS-ls7mm :Well, that is hardly an shortcoming belonging to the current generation. We have a former president who has never accepted responsibility for anything. And then to make matters worse, he benefits from those who have zero interest in holding him responsible. In fact, they make excuses for him. They aid him in his denials with their own denials. So, if you want the current generation to become more responsible it would help greatly if they weren't modelling previous generations present behaviors. I know, only the young, only blacks, only immigrants are irresponsible. Certain not white Christian nationalist despite several thousand of them participating in an attempt to overthrown the government. And we've heard all manner of excuses made by many of the them. More importantly, we've had to listen to the wild rationalizations of those making excuses for them. So, I suggest you earlier generations begin to practice what you're preaching.

I'll give a little slack to drivers on the road because when a cruiser with lights and sirens is coming up behind you at 100+mph, you probably don't have a whole lotta time to realize what's about to pass you. However, a guy in a pickup passing you at 100+mph ahead of the cruiser/s might be a clue. Your first responsibility when driving is to be aware of your surroundings. Pull the eff over, people. These LEO's are damn good at what they do, but are in pursuit for a damn good reason, at no small risk to their own lives. Sheriff Deputy's mom here.

You pick Wisconsin and California? Interesting picks of states. But California has awesome police officers and so does Wisconsin. And all the police officers do an amazing job around the nation because they all do a great job and risk their lives to protect us and stop the bad people. The only thing wrong with this PIT maneuver is it was does on a narrow street going up a hill and cars driving the opposite way. The cop couldn’t see on coming traffic and what if there was a driver at that street where the truck flipped over. It was in a residential area. That cop was very very lucky no other driver was hit or worse. He took a huge chance and luckily no one else was hurt, or worse.

Yey, BRAVO MIKE again. IUS government should make a mandatory to make a show of theses " Police Pursuits" and POLICE ACTIVITIES" channels in all the class room of the schools. So, the young generation understands What will happen if you do a crime and if you run from the LEO.

As an alternative perspective, when you're doing 55mph and a car is closing on you in heavy traffic at 120mph, you've got very little time to react. You're not going hear them coming either as that's not how sound travels.

You obviously missed the one where an ASP trooper PIT a truck, the truck rolled into a ditch and launched the Trooper's Charger into the air. Wasn't quite so happy of an ending on that one though. The guy they were chasing lost his life, and the trooper nearly did as well. And they don't even know why the guy ran. He had no warrants, and if I remember correctly, never even had so much as a parking ticket. But the way the pursuit ended was insane.

This'll be hard to top for ASP pursuit of the year. People in the comments trash the other motorists on the road, if it weren't for them on this pursuit, especially the truck deciding to rub the guiderail with his trailer to let the troopers pass, this felon would be gone.
